We made it!

Recommended Posts

Well, after a longer than expected bus trip home and nearly missing our train and almost being stranded in a train station overnight, Mia and I have made it home! It was soo nice to pull into Manhatten-it was great to see nice tall buildings again instead of fields of nothing ;) And then to finally sleep in a bed again-instead of on gravel or a bus seat!

Our bus had been delayed 2 hours earlier that day-sitting in stand still traffic b/c of an accident somewhere in Pennsylvania. That made us miss our next bus and train-we hoped for a miracle-and we were almost got one, except our bus took a longer than planned stopped (the drivers fault not the passengers) and we ended up missing the express bus from philadelphia to NYC by 10 minutes!>:( Luckily we scrambled around, found a new bus (not greyhound) and made it to NY just in time to catch the last train out of the city for the night arriving home around 3 am!

We had such a wonderful time. It was great to meet so many of you in Perris as well as those of you who we met along the way. From the minute we got off that bus and into the car with Wingnut to the moment we said goodbye to Viking and got back on that stupid bus, we had nothing but fun (well except when everything melted and our food spoiled!) And, actually, despite our complaining and aching bodies today, the bus really wasn't that bad;)

we wanted to specially thank some people who helped make this trip rock: First is Wingnut who picked us up in Salt Lake City and gave us a ride to Vegas and stayed for the weekend (and my first jump!), JT for putting up with us for the week and missing out on all that sleep. It was cool seeing all of those places-and for taking me to jump-if it wasn't for you, i woulda never done it! We had so much fun-oh and your cooking is AMAZING! :)) the trip would have been very boring! Skymedic, fallinwoman, and christopherm for showing us the good side of St. Louis:S (that place is scary!) and Wingnut again for hoping for a miracle (it worked :)
Here are just a few pictures from our trip

Congratulations, and I'm so glad you guys were able to take this trip. It's the kind of opportunity you should take if you get it.

So your next trip is to Portland, OR right? RIGHT?!?! Ok, well I guess that might take a little while to plan, so I guess I'll have to go to NY this summer. Maybe we can make a few jumps when you're through with AFF. You'll have to wear a lot of weight...or go headdown to keep up with me though :S

It was great meeting you at Perris. Thank you so much for keeping me company while I sat on the ground all hungover from a really great night of partying. The text messages were the least I could do as thanks... and besides, I like getting text messages:P I'll have to come up to the Ranch and check things out there sometime soon.

NOICE!!! Glad to see your back. Sorry about not responding to the text message at 5 am... I looked over, read it, debated how fast I could get there and see you and Mia and bring you some food and coffee... and decided that sleep was more likely to happen then that :$:$ The messages were entertaining.. do tell the storry about the army guys :D

JT-as for Mias jump, she and I are both planning on heading to the dz on the 27th...2 weeks from tomorrow - so we both can jump:)
fallinwoman and skymedic-yes the guy who harrassed chris was scary-combine that with my experience on a bus in vegas (never, i repeat never EVER take a bus in vegas-TRUST ME!) I now feel safer in NYC more than ever! haha. I'll have to come back to st. louis soemtime to see the good part!
