NWFlyer 2 #2 February 20, 2012 You posted in another thread that you were thinking of a PD 176 or Smart 175, based on a recommendation that a PD 176 would be an appropriate sized reserve for you. The condition of the Stellar 140 is irrelevant. If a 176 is the appropriate size for you, the 140, any 140 is not the right reserve for you, regardless of its age, condition, or price."There is only one basic human right, the right to do as you damn well please. dragon2 2 #3 February 20, 2012 1) No way. Older types of reserves should NOT be loaded over 1.0 or .9 (so absolute max body weight of 50 kg for an old 140 like this and no wearing lead on a jump either) 2) That depends on the type, brand, condition, your rigger and the rules of your country. In this case, probably not. 3) No. Too expensive for a quite old off-brand older type reserve. In any condition. ciel bleu, Saskia
J0nathan 0 #4 February 20, 2012 ok thanks, ok well then i was given the wrong info i think i was give the wrong info since the size in square feet of the reserve was given as 180... i was wondering since i though the number " 140 " stood for the canopy size. well i allready thought that i shouldnt buy it but asking never hurts blue skies ! dragon2 2 #5 February 20, 2012 You said it was a stellar 140, which is 140sqft. There is also a stellar 180: http://www.strongparachutes.com/pages/Sport/spreserve.html ciel bleu, Saskia
