andy2 0 #4 June 7, 2003 whats in it that makes it so effective? I've been trying to gain muscle mass to no avail, been eating good amounts of protein, TONS of carbs, drink lots of fluids, but yet I still can't keep up with my metabolism. I bet on a good day I eat easily 4-5 thousand calories. I lift weights 4-5 times a week, pushups, crunches, pullups, all day long. How did you gain weight in AFGHAN and I can't in north carolina!? --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... Deuce 1 #5 June 7, 2003 I eat the protein bars, By Premiere 1. 31 grams a piece. They tast OK (You can get used to anything, a friend thinks they taste like chocolate covered vitamins) I try to keep my body fat about 8-10% ( I use a Tanita Body Monitor scale). Anearobic exercise to keep the muscle mass, aerobic exercise and diet to keep the fat down. Carbs just make me gain fat. It changes as you get older, I'm 39. I save my carbs for beer. I don't even want to thing what that new low-carb beer must taste like. (Sounds about as attractive as "Moisture-Free Sex")

sinker 0 #7 June 7, 2003 Urine has protein. Maybe that'd be a good'un. No, on second thought... -the artist formerly known as sinker
andy2 0 #8 June 7, 2003 I usually work out hard 2-3 times a week and then lift just like light free weights another 2-3 times. When I work out "hard" (relative for me) I do reps of 10-12 on inclined and flat bench(maybe only 3 sets usually), and then tack on a whole other bunch of free weights after that. How can you tell if you're working out too hard? --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... andy2 0 #9 June 7, 2003
Urine has protein. Maybe that'd be a good'un. No, on second thought...
I thought the protein in urine is broken down too far to be useful to your body? Although there were tribes of indians that would ingest "magic mushrooms" and then piss in a bottle and pass it around, the metabolites remained partially unbroken and were enough to "elevate" others. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... leroydb 0 #10 June 7, 2003 10-12 to much..... keep reps low... keep a record of what you do, and workout in cyclesLeroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio...
andy2 0 #11 June 7, 2003 how many sets of like 5-6 reps? 4? or as many as I can do? I like working out HARD at least 2 times a week, like so hard I can barely move my arms afterwards, thats fun. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... leroydb 0 #12 June 7, 2003 sound like you are working more on cardio than trying to gain mass or weight.... go to my first post on weekly cycles and reps... you dont have to be dead tired to get a good workout... i mean for normal people that dont work out like they shoud, sure but if you are on a schedule you'll be okLeroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio... andy2 0 #13 June 7, 2003 cool, I'm trying to gain MASS, and still maintain cardio through running around on trails around my house. leroydb 0 #14 June 7, 2003 thing is i have the same problem... i was 135 at 5'9" you have to worry about gaining mass first, then toning second if you want nice gains. trust me I am still only at 165, but its al muscle gain from 135... i want to get to 180... note i amnot using roids...Leroy ..I knew I was an unwanted baby when I saw my bath toys were a toaster and a radio... andy2 0 #15 June 7, 2003
note i amnot using roids...
yeah, hell no on using drugs for muscle gain, imo. It seems kinda idiotic the guys that do this, why are they even trying to work on their body if all theyre doing is pumping it full of drugs. I work out because I want to be as healthy as possible! Thanks for recomending what you know, I'll start doing less reps higher weight. --------------------------------------------- let my inspiration flow, in token rhyme suggesting rhythm... ltdiver 3 #17 June 7, 2003 Quotemaybe you are working out to much? dont do high reps Correct. Cardio is low weight/high reps. Muscle mass is high weight/low reps. I've started drinking "Balance 40-30-40" high protein mixed with milk. People at work started commenting when my 130#'s got to 140#! At 5'10" I've always fought this dilemma. Muenkel 0 #19 June 8, 2003 Spirutein. This stuff is awesome. I have a tendency to be hypoglycemic and this stuff will give me the protein I need. The only negative is you have to buy it from one of those "all natural, organic, birkenstock wearing, non-hygeine believing, co-op stores where the people are uuuugly." I never understood why these people swear they are eating healthy, but they always look 3 minutes from death. But, I patronize them because I need my spirutein.Chris _________________________________________ Chris

Chris LMAOROTF I've been doing severe Cardio training since January. My problem isn't weight loss or gain, but achieving the best cardio vascular fitness level possible. I polled a lot of the personal trainers at my gym and they told me they used Nitrotech and Celltech. I mix chocolate Nitrotech (tastes better than the Vanilla) with 1% milk and drink two per day. My muscle density has gotten significantly better in spite of the Cardio.
