Almost forgot the best part of the sport

Recommended Posts

I had my first cut-away in almost 20 years yesterday. As luck would have it my main landed in an area cleverly named by the locals as "Little Vietnam". The brush is so thick in there you litterally have to crawl in your hands and knees to get in, and once you are in there is poison oak, snakes, thorns, rusted barbed wire, hot, humid, hell they may as well have pungy sticks. My canopy was in a 50 foot tall tree.
Guys I barely knew volunteered their jumping time and got scratched, bitten cut and lost in there to help a fellow jumper get his stuff back, one guy drove in from two ours away to provide his tree climbing expertise> canopy was retreived with no damage and best of all I realized The best part of this sport: THE PEOPLE, Thank u all at Skydive Houston: Catfish, Dan, Steve, Russell, Virgilio and if I forget names please forgive me beer has been delivered THANK YOU!!!!

LIFE IS LIKE A CIGARETTE, YOU CAN SIT THERE AND WATCH IT BURN AWAY OR YOU CAN SMOKE THAT BITCH TO THE FILTER

What caused your chop?

That is exactly the best part, isn't it though? Congrats on the opportunity to like people.

Yeah, the folks in Waller a great! Virgilio, catfish, russell and everyone else there is really great.

I'm glad that they were able to help you out.

I got to do the same thing today in Aggieland, one of our jumpers had a cutaway (that he packed), so I bumped off the next load to help get his freebag/pc and main (with Perky). Luck would have it that we found it very very quickly (5minutes) so I could still make the load.B|

the things we do for our friends.....you'd think we like this stuff.
at least we found a cool place to hide the wild women coming to Summer Jam.....we can get them lost in there and keep them here forever.

marco?
