Vibes for another pet, please

Recommended Posts

I'm sure he'll be fine, but I'm worried about my little dog. He started feeling sick Thursday night and hasn't been doing very well since. He got his appetite back, but today he wasn't able to keep anything down, not even water. That's when we decided to take him to the emergency vet. They can't find anything obviously wrong, but he's got a fever and elevated white and red blood cells, so they are keeping him at least overnight. We have to see how he does tomorrow. :S You just feel so helpless when they get sick like this, you know? [:/]

Sending good vibes, so that your puppy will be all better. It is very hard on us when they get sick, because there isn't a lot we can do for them, just love them some more I guess, huh?

Thanks to everyone for the great vibes. :)
I talked to the hospital earlier and was told that his fever has come down and he has not thrown up...although they also have not given him anything by mouth since he's been there, so I'm not too surprised about that. They said in a couple more hours they will offer him food and if he eats it and keeps it down, we can bring him home. I have to call back in about 3 hours to find out. They still don't know what really brought this all about. :| Thanks again, and I'll update again once I know something more.

My daughters cat did almost the identical thing. The poor thing was hospitalized for about 7 days. IV fluids, no real diagnosis. Every day wondered if this would be the last. Day 7 perked up, acted interested when the 2 year old came to visit. Let him (the cat) go home for the night for the next 3 nights, everything is ok now. Never did figure out what was wrong. The vet suggested that it may have been some sort of poisoning, like radiator fluid. Indoor cat tho, so unlikely.......

Thanks, he seems to be feeling much better. :)

It was great to meet you, too. You know, the weather has been so damn crappy that I still don't have my license! But I will by the next time I see you...possibly at Eloy for the holidays, we'll see. And we'll definitely jump together! ;)
