flyhi 24 #1 June 12, 2003 Flew the GPS 23 approach into Deland yesterday for the first time. The initial approach fix for the approach is named "DONGS". I made the following radio calls on two practice approaches: "Just short of DONGS at this time." "Approaching DONGS" "Over DONGS at this time." There is also an intersection named GUANO just north of Deland. Who names these things, frat guys on a Friday night?Shit happens. And it usually happens because of physics. I always wanted to fly over it: "I'm over over, over" -Ben P.S. "Rodger Rodger, what's the vector Victor?"

So, we always call it out as "Wisconsin xxx is inside Deana." Hubba hubba.
