Faber 0 #53 June 11, 2003 QuoteI'm sure there are plenty of people in the world saying "Those damn Jews strike again." Yes and im one of them.I normaly dont like muslims, but in that case i cant see why Jews try to get that cuntry. The muslims were there first,so let them live there. And each time Isreal atach any in Platistina, they get it back again.Becours they have no troops there are no one who can tell them to stop it.It will be a bad cirkel until the day one of the groups are erased(and.. damn theres many muslims). Guest #54 June 11, 2003 QuoteSupporting your hijacking - let's talk about what flavors of ice cream we like best: Ben and Jerry's Cherry Garcia frozen yogurt does it for me. Carries back to the political, I'm afraid... I'm torn about B&J because although they make some really nice products, they also support bleeding-heart liberal causes. Yet at the same time, they support family farms and oppose the use of bovine hormones. Just mixes me up, really. Steel 0 #57 June 11, 2003 Nothing that I said was meant to represent the Catholic opinion on things. Hell the pope didn't even want us to go into Iraq and obviously I am glad we did. But the fact that I am a Catholic and have been around the religion enough has given me the knowkledge that it made no sense when skydeker tried to compare the way we treat our women to the way Muslims treat their women. If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. tbrown 26 #58 June 11, 2003 I think the sooner there are seperate states of Israel and Palestine, the better. Until it happens, this stuff is just going to go on and on and on and on. Israel's able to deal with all their other neighbor states, Syria, Lebanon, etc, it should be no different with a Palestinian state. These people are going to hate each other forever and there isn't much we can do about it, except tell them ALL to keep the noise down. That's the real reason we're in Iraq, that and the oil. EricaH 0 #59 June 11, 2003 The fighting will never end. One fairly accped story from the Bible is that Abraham as the father of the Jewish kingdom - which eventually gave birth to Christianity - was promised by God that his childrens children would be as numerous as the grains of sand and the stars in the sky. Well, after about 100 years his wife Sarah hadn't had a child. So she told Abram (his name @ the time) to have a child by way of her Non-Jewish slave woman named Hagar. Hagar had a son named Ishmael. Eventually Abram & Sari (her name @ the time) kicked Hagar & her son out into the wilderness of Palastine. Hagar prayed to her god & was promised that she would have the same blessing bestowed upon her son that God had promised Abram. When Abraham & Sarah finally had a son - both were well over 100 years old - they named him Issac. From there the story of the Abraham being told to sacrafice his only son .... So, now there are 2 sons of Abraham, Ishmael & Issac, one Jewish, one Palistinan - both have the same promise to have their lineage rule the earth & their numbers being as many as the stars in the sky & the grains of sand. The theory is that Issac's - obviously - is the Judeo/Christian world & Ishmael's is the Muslem. There are MANY times in world histroy when the 2 have clashed. And of the few times when a difference in the relationship could have been made; the staunchly ridig church of the time forbid any kind of bending. Thus we are left w/ a world conflict that will not go away. We all chose our own destiny, but our choices are limited by those that went before. There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)

NeedToJump 0 #63 June 11, 2003 QuoteThe muslims were there first,so let them live there. I really don't want to get into an argument here (I think we all agree that the fighting is not going to get anyone anywhere) but *technically* the Jews were there first (before the Muslims) and got exiled during the whole Pharoah thing (we all saw Prince of Egypt.) The Muslims moved in there later. The English then decided post WWII that the Jews should have a homeland and decided to move the Jews to what is now Israel. So technically the Jews were there first, and technically the Muslims were there first because they got booted when the English moved the Jews in. Look at it however you want, both groups were there first.Wind Tunnel and Skydiving Coach http://www.ariperelman.com

Steel 0 #67 June 11, 2003 The Muslims were not there first. The Jews were there before there even was a Muslim religion, before there even was a Koran. That religion is based on a "Profet" named Mohamed from the six century and its funny that not long after they spread these ideas all over North Africa and then tried to go into Europe (Spain). And I am proud to say it was a long hard fight (700 + years) but my ancestors got them the hell out of there and the ones that were left to this day live on the streets as gypsies (Never were and never will be Spanish). If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. billvon 3,114 #72 June 11, 2003 >While I'm with you there, unless the human race radically assumes a > brand spanking new set of morals within the next couple of > centuries, we are going to be shit out of EVERYTHING. Why? One good nuclear war with China and we won't need nearly as much oil. Or food, or electricity. Whether we want to put ourselves in such a position involuntarily is another question.
