Most Awesome Perris Night CReW Record!!

Recommended Posts

For those of you who left Perris early, you missed the most awesome visual I've ever seen from the ground!

A new unofficial night CReW record! A 16-way Diamond that seemed to fly forever in the full moonlight!

For those of us on the ground, we kept trying to pick out jump run and exits (several times believing we saw just that, but it just happened to be twinkling stars or small planes overhead).

When the formation was finally spotted, it was a dark inky spot that kept growing overhead, flying south-east right towards the moon. Then it was lit up very brightly by Brad Hood's flash! We knew we had the right spot then, as the whole DZ ooed and awed at the spectacle. THEN the strobe lights were activated and the whole completed formation lit up!! The colors of the canopies were breathtaking, and the Diamond formation kept its trajectory towards the full moon.

Brad Hood must have gotten some breathtaking photographs from that, with the moon in the background! Can't wait to see them! Can we say cover of Parachutist, at least?! B|

Congratulations to the new record holders. A 16-way Night CReW Diamond!!!

Well, got to see THE photo from this incredible night jump today. Brad really caught the moment! I think I've never seen the sky so black, nor the colors of canopies so much in beautiful contrast as in that picture.

Keep checking Brad's web page, Jump Run Productions for updates.

Got to sit in the air conditioning and talk shop with Brad for a bit today. He really had his work cut out for him on that jump, but pulled it off flawlessly....just like the 16-way Diamond did.

Again, congratulations!
