Dbriggs 0 #1 June 19, 2003 I just got back on a dirtbike today for the first time in about 7 months. Man did it feel good to hit the powerband again. I was rusty as hell but its all good. I rode a CR125 for most of the time but I got ballsy and rode my friends CR250, I had to clean my pants. You want to talk about fast!!!!!! Not only was it fast but the thing had the tochiest throttle I have ever seen on a dirtbike. I think I will stick to the 125 until I am not such a crappy rider. I just had to share that with yall. blewaway5 0 #2 June 19, 2003 I know the feeling. Today I hopped in my trusty ol' 89 escort (it's a 4 speed) and downshifted my way up a 5 degree hill. Man oh man, the speed nearly killed me That's just my way of being jealous. Not so much over the dirt bike, but damn I miss motorcycles. Enjoy what ya got, my friend. Dbriggs 0 #3 June 19, 2003 I miss dirt bikes soooooo much. I had one till I got t-boned by some kid who wasnt paying attention. My mom was pissed. Then I traded it for a piece of crap. I think I am going to buy this 125. I missed riding so much. Now I feel like a human again. AHHHH the feeling of open air hitting your face, no worries about work, parents, money. Just you and the bike in the open going as fast as you can.........I think I will stop rubbing it in. CRAPPP I missed the TV guy today. GREAAATT Now I have to wait another week to get television. They think I am nuts when I say I want to go skydive, but when it comes to riding they are like "lets go". blewaway5 0 #10 June 19, 2003 Okay, I worked 13 hours today and I'm gonna have to do it again tomorrow, so this is my last post. I'm gonna use it to point out one very important fact. I've made more friends faster skydiving than doing anything else. If you go jump and hang out at the dz, you WILL have a ton of friends who'll want to jump with you. Well, unless you're a chronic asshole, which I'll give you the benefit of the doubt on. Bottom line, it's up to you what you do, but then, you already knew that, right. You need some sort of friendly wager involving a similar $ value to an AFF1 dive (if you can do that right away) or a tandem. They pay for their dive and you reimburse them if they don't think it's better than riding (or 'other things') - but the proof has to be in the video of them grinning (or being scared shitless)... and THEY have to declare which it will be. I defy ANYONE not to be overwhelmed on their first jump so if someone says 'ya, I can handle that' then put 'em to the test. they fail and you make them sign up for their next AFF dive... (or pay for yours) I bet you create a skydiving buddy and the rest of the crowd soon follows I used to ride dirt a bit and still have a road ticket.
