PhillyKev 0 #1 June 19, 2003 Ok, so I'm shopping for a 50" plasma tv for the office. We want to use it for presentations, and so I can watch skydiving movies after hours We pretty much decided on a Sony XBR..price tag $15,000. But before the final purchase, I want to see how it looks with an s-video connection to a pc. So, I walk into Tweeter with my laptop. Ask them to hook it up, and the guy says, "We don't have any opened S video cables." I ask him to open one so that I can test it out, and he says he can't do that. So, I said, "Guess I'll just buy it somehwhere else." Mind you, I had Amex in hand to buy it. What kind of idiot doesn't want to open a $10 cable for a $15,000 sale? I guess with the way the economy is humming there's so many people buying big screen plasma tvs that they don't need to bother. And that is how you make it abundantly clear that you are a dumbass. Wish I had one of those signs for the guy.

PhillyKev 0 #8 June 19, 2003 He actually suggested another store that might have the cable handy. I just called a specialty home theater shop that someone at work has used a couple times and ordered it from them. They were very helpful and cheaper. I've had very similar experiences in Tweeter. I'll no longer give them the chance to earn my business. They had the chance, they lost it. - Jim"Like" - The modern day comma Good bye, my friends.
