geronimo 1 #1 June 19, 2003 Hey - get out that May issue of Parachutist and find that proxy. Fill it out and mail it in. Or use this link: http://uspa.org/news/images/Proxy_Insert.pdf The earlier proxy was a general proxy. You DEMANDED that USPA submit specific proxies to the membership. That is what USPA did. Now, put your voice where it can be heard. Send in that proxy today.--- I have a dream that my posts will one day will not be judged by the color of the fonts or settings in a Profile but by the content. I posted this in reply to your GMM posting in Events, but I'll repeat it here in case you do no revisit that thread: I would, but seeing as USPA has decided to not send the May issue of Parachutist to either myself or my wife, despite phone calls and emails, I don't think they are interested in our proxy. We are USPA...right! Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
katiebear21 0 #6 June 20, 2003 I downloaded mine and sent it off today. I have had very quick response to my e-mails from Linda B. both when I asked her to re-send my membership card and license when it got lost in the mail after I deployed and when I requested them to re-send my magazines because I had not received them. I'm sorry that you haven't had the same experience. Katie Get your PMS glass necklace here

I have not been on dz.com all day (been busy doing real life things) so I haven't gotten back to this thread until now -- but this morning when checking my email, I found a cc of an email that Jan sent to Chris N. asking for help. I quickly replied to them both with my membership status (and Lynn's) and some other particulars. When checking emails during a short break this afternoon, I found an email from Jan stating that Chris assurred us our mags were in the mail. I thanked her privately then, and am thanking her publicly now. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them? RevJim 0 #15 June 21, 2003 QuoteJack's missing issues was taken care of yesterday. Good! QuoteI did not see a need to post that here - unless I was in search of pats on the back. Jan, This is a very public forum. Much more so than news:rec.skydiving. People have problems here. The problem "solvers" are not looking for a "pat on the back", as you say. They are just helping. 1. Jack had a problem with the U.P.S.A., and he eventually resorted to posting that problem here. 2. This was posted in reply to a recently elected board member. One whom claims to be "For the fun jumpers". Jack and TLML are as "fun" of jumpers as you are gonna get. 3. You're reply was to me, instead of the person with the problem. Public eye Jan. A simple little "Sorry Jack, I'll see what I can do" or anything along those lines, followed by a follow up post from either of you would have made a world of difference. I'm very happy that things have been straightened out for Jack and Lynn, but it begs a new question: "Why did they need to resort to a slightly stinging post to see results?" QuoteIf you have a problem, any director or anyone at HQ can help you. After you post to a public forum, or will phone calls be enough now? It's your life, live it! It was brought to my attention that some people have no clue as to what I was talking about. geronimo, the one that posts here, is none other than Jan Meyer, our newly elected USPA National Director. See Jan? Actually filling in some of your profile (at least a name) might help out a bit.
