CanuckInUSA 0 #26 June 21, 2003 QuoteDo you dry climate folks care at all? Do you send us any vibes? Or do you selfishly smile and head off to the dz with your sunblock? Hmmm ... nope I've got no vibes to spare ... I can't spare a vibe ... in fact I skipped off after work today to the DZ and did two of my best ever freefly headdown jumps with another more experience skydiver. PS: And thanks for reminding me to bring sunscreen to the DZ tomorrow. But if it makes you feel any better (which I'm sure it won't), I won't be heading to my home DZ as there's some 4-way CSL competitions going on. So with at least seven teams of five doing three jumps each, plus the usual tandem traffic, I'm better off driving the 90 minutes to Brush as fun jumpers won't get many jumps in tomorrow at MHSD. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

VectorBoy 0 #29 June 21, 2003 Yes we are sad when we pay higher power rates because all of our hydro has dried up. Then they say we can't water our lawns as much as we need to keep them green. So sadly we get over to our DZ thats open 264 days a year and PAAAARRRRRTTTTYYY!

billvon 3,120 #31 June 21, 2003 I'll have you know that I went to North Carolina last weekend - home of more rain than you can shake a stick at - and brought them two days of nice weather. So don't be heapin your evil eyed rainy-assed vibes on me! Should I jump tomorrow, or go to Kate's party? Decisions decisions.

riddler 0 #36 June 21, 2003 *Sigh* - these hot dry days in Colorado are such a bother. Landings are faster. It's so hard to pack with no humidity. Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

canopywhore 0 #41 June 21, 2003 All of the east coast rain too much winers could watch the news. I live in Tucson and our mountains are on fire. Its very dry with high winds. They have zero containment and approx 200 homes and businesses have been destroyed. On a lighter note most people from the east complain when the visit that it is dry and hot. And in case anybody is still reading Eloy had shut down for the day, everybody has already quit jumping its too hot. On the other hand you can bet there will be 3-4 loads completed by 8am tomorrow.
