Scoby 0 #9 June 21, 2003 Yeah, Air Adventures West in Taft closed recently due to a dispute with the landlord. I understand that their King Air is back in service at California City, at least for this weekend. There is also an Otter boogie at the Taft airport. VanillaSkyGirl 6 #10 June 21, 2003 OK, who else from Air Adventures West were also e-mailed today by Will? He wrote that the King Air will be up at Cal City this weekend. I thought that the old Taft crew was going to Chrouch's Taft this weekend to play with the Otter? I want to see the familiar faces at Cal City, but I am probably still going to Taft, instead. (Cal City just told me that they charge $25.00 per jump and do not rent rigs for the day. At Taft, I was told that it's $40.00 per day to rent a rig.) I hope that others from AAW still show up at Taft. Hopefully, Will also has a great weekend. I was there, Ed, and I probably just missed seeing you. There were so many AAW people at Taft today! Wasn' t it nice? Tad and I arrived in the late morning, and I had to wait for them to find a small enough rental rig for me. I was talking to all the familiar faces and just waiting to go on my first jump, when Tom had his cutaway. I do not wish to post the details. However, he found his main and made 2 more jumps afterwards. You can pm me if you want to chat!
