jraf 0 #1 June 23, 2003 This weekend in central florida was a bit less than successful. Skydivewise that is. Marc and Alysee, Russ Snyder and Andrea and Yours Truly wound up at Russ' abode after a fun time at the wind tunnel. We have purchased the appropriate amount of St. Pauli Girl and a truckload of Pierogies. Whooooohooooh PIEROGI FEST it was. We put on some Brazilian Ska and Reggae and cholesterol attack it was: First came the pierogies with sauerkraut and mushrooms sauted in butter and onions. Magnificent I dare to say! After a short brake we decided to have desert and I made pierogies filled with whole pitted plums sauted in butter with sugar. God that was great. Little while later the ladies made another beer run bringing another case of Corona. What can I say - skydivers delight. Beer drives the appetite so we carted out the potato filled pierogies and sauted them in butter, onions and white wine. Of course we drank white wine with them. A few beer later the appetite was back so we dug out veal and chicken filled Russian pelemeni and I started a onion and red wine reduction sauce. Russ and the ladies went to bring some wine and I made the horrible mistake of asking them to bring the cheapest Chianti. Madonna Mia, they brought a bottle of California Chiante (note E at the end) proced at $6.45/gallon. Quite undrinkable. Russ however to prove a point proceeded to pour it in himself resulting in a prolonged prayer to the porcelain God. The pelemeni were just orgasmic and I only can regret that Mad Igor was not there to witness me bringing Russian cuisine to cullinary heights out of it's usual mud and boredom. What a trumphant night for Chef Hans. Come and taste my specials at ZHills children.jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. Muff #3275

I will do pretty much anuthing with food Actually I was a bit lazy this morning. I had pierogi for supper last night, so the easiest thing to fix for breakfast was already in the 'fridge! :^) BEST pierogi is made fresh from a Russian who really knows his culinary art. I've been feasting all weekend long! :^) Don't tell me the sky's the limit when there are footprints on the moon

jraf 0 #10 June 23, 2003 Cause it's a pierogi lovers world. Pierogiaries of all countires unite! I was wondering and I must say it would be truly fine food: Potato filled perogies with truffles in the red wine onion reduction. Nice Cote du Rhone with it. Sacrebleu! Magnifique! Of course going for traditional SAuerkraut and mushroom filled perogies fried in lard and bacom. Nice Czech Pilsner bier to splash it down. Then of course steamed sea weed and smelt filled perogies with sake as a beverage. The possibilities are infinite. Hail the Pierogi God!jraf Me Jungleman! Me have large Babalui. jraf 0 #11 June 23, 2003 Well if I make the perogies their nationality does not matter as they are then all Pittsburgh fare. However there are differences in the ingredients they use in different places and the way they prepare them, hence my strict differentiation. The bottom line is however one: Pigout!jraf Me Jungleman!
