I bet you're one of those people who rented Moby Dick, Cannery Row, and To Kill A Mockingbird instead of reading them. Snowbird 0 #7 June 21, 2003 Ooh ooh Michele you GOTTA read them! I devoured the first three books in 4 days. Can't wait for this one, but I don't buy hardcovers. Happily, I have friends who do. Until I get my hands on a copy, I'll just be jealous of anyone who reads it before me. Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Luna 0 #15 June 21, 2003 Man, you SUCK! I pre-ordered mine from Barnes&Noble.com many many months ago...before they started running the same-day delivery for the price of normal delivery promotion. DAMN IT ALL!! It says it shipped on Thursday, but there is NO tracking information at all available. I'm so PISSED! But, it's a beautiful weekend, so I'm not going to sit at home hoping it arrives. It'll be here soon, and I can read it during the week. Enjoy it! I'm walking a marathon to raise money for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Click Here for more information! 2fat2fly 0 #16 June 21, 2003 OK, color me ignorant, but are they really good books? I've not bothered because I thought that it was kiddie fare. If they are actually good, I may have to start. I have to wait too long in between "Wheel of Time" and "Vorkosigen" books anyway.I am not the man. But the man knows my name...and he's worried

Thanatos340 1 #19 June 21, 2003 Yep. Got a Copy Last night at 12:01. But there seems to be some confusion at my household as my 11 year old daughter seems to think it is hers or some such madness. Snowbird 0 #20 June 21, 2003 Quotebut are they really good books? I've not bothered because I thought that it was kiddie fare. Way more than kiddie fare. Rawling is fabulous, she has such a unique vision and draws you into her world completely. Each book is another year in Harry's life, and each book gets deeper and more complex, reflecting his growth. They are fun and entertaining fantasy, but she doesn't pull any emotional punches. They are written 'for kids' without being childish. you say I'm a Harry Potter freak like it's a bad thing...
CloudOnMyTongue 0 #21 June 21, 2003 A copy of that damn book was preordered weeks ago by my little sis, it will come today sometime. The place was full of sugar charged hyper kids dressed like witches, screaming and knocking books off the shelves. Everyone was issued a number at the door and at midnight they started calling groups of ten up to the cash registers for their books. It was mostly a lot of fun and we got a copy for under $20, which surpised the heck out of me. Also bagged the "Frida" DVD, which also just came out & is a great movie.
