i liked the first movie. havn't seen the second one yet.

Movie? MOVIE?! Blasphemy!

I bet you're one of those people who rented Moby Dick, Cannery Row, and To Kill A Mockingbird instead of reading them.

Sigh...youth of today.

Know what? As much as I read, I haven't indulged in that yet.

You still haven't seen "The Breakfast Club", either. We'll have to work on that.:)

Ooh ooh Michele you GOTTA read them! I devoured the first three books in 4 days. Can't wait for this one, but I don't buy hardcovers. Happily, I have friends who do. :)
Until I get my hands on a copy, I'll just be jealous of anyone who reads it before me.:P

I was going to go to the sales opening but no one would go with me. Maybe I'll go hunt down a copy tomorrow.:|

If only you didn't live in TX. Sigh. Check out Wal-Mart. That's where I got mine. They still had two huge pallets loaded with books left after the crowds had dispersed. It was $16. Not bad at all.

Mine is sitting at my post office right now and will be delivered by 10:00am. I pre-oredered it from amazon.com about 8 months ago. Since it will be raining all weekend, I decided I will spend it at Hogwarts.:)

Man, you SUCK! I pre-ordered mine from Barnes&Noble.com many many months ago...before they started running the same-day delivery for the price of normal delivery promotion. DAMN IT ALL!! It says it shipped on Thursday, but there is NO tracking information at all available. I'm so PISSED! But, it's a beautiful weekend, so I'm not going to sit at home hoping it arrives. It'll be here soon, and I can read it during the week. Enjoy it!

OK, color me ignorant, but are they really good books? I've not bothered because I thought that it was kiddie fare. If they are actually good, I may have to start. I have to wait too long in between "Wheel of Time" and "Vorkosigen" books anyway.

Way more than kiddie fare. Rawling is fabulous, she has such a unique vision and draws you into her world completely. Each book is another year in Harry's life, and each book gets deeper and more complex, reflecting his growth. They are fun and entertaining fantasy, but she doesn't pull any emotional punches. They are written 'for kids' without being childish.

you say I'm a Harry Potter freak like it's a bad thing...

A copy of that damn book was preordered weeks ago by my little sis, it will come today sometime.

As an aside, I work at Costco and the shipment of books came in two weeks ago, I took it upon myself to open it up and see who dies.

I guess I could of started havoc then if I posted then with the information.:)

Silly....you have to do like I did. I bought 3 copies. One for my 14 y/o, one for my 9 y/o and one for MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE.

It makes life alot easier when we don't all fight over something so easily solved.

We wuz out to the bash at Barnes & Noble last night. The place was full of sugar charged hyper kids dressed like witches, screaming and knocking books off the shelves. Everyone was issued a number at the door and at midnight they started calling groups of ten up to the cash registers for their books. It was mostly a lot of fun and we got a copy for under $20, which surpised the heck out of me. Also bagged the "Frida" DVD, which also just came out & is a great movie.
