Vallerina 2 #1 June 24, 2003 I'm not sure if many people remember my wonderful Dancing Queen poll about which dance class I should take, but I just thought I'd fill everyone in on the results! I did not listen to the majority of you this time. I took the class which tied for sixth place: ballet!!!! My main influence for this decision was mi padre and MrHixxx talking about the ballerina butt I want to own! The last time I stepped in front of a ballet bar, my strong toes could carry my much lighter (but still just as tall) body wherever I wanted to go. Tonight, I realized I'm no longer 14. I jump out of airplanes for goodness sakes, so why did I, wearing the traditional ballet gear, get so scared stepping into a large room with other ballerina wannabes? The teacher eased my worries rather quickly, and hearing that no one else had done ballet for years made me less nervous. She had us do some simple moves, but focusing so much on my turnout, my arms, my plie, etc really worked muscles I haven't felt in years. I had so much fun tonight! I couldn't twirl around like I used to (I would probably break my neck if I tried those moves again) but I wasn't getting screamed at by some scary woman constantly. It's also a really incredible feeling to focus intently on how my body moves. Feeling my toes push into the ground while stretching my arm to the side feels really cool I'm not sure how to describe the rush I got afterwards. It wasn't a workout rush or an adrenaline rush. But, there was something going on in me....I felt incredibly happy, especially driving back into the city (very light traffic) as it looked absolutely incredible. I'm a ballerina again! Vallerina 2 #4 June 24, 2003 QuoteI always wanted to be a ballerina. LUcky you!!!!!! I just want to wear the cool toe shoes again! That's my goal (it'll never happen...well, I could wear my old ones now, but I might break a toe.) QuoteHorny I was going to include that in my list of things it wasn't....being horny and stuck in a car for 40 mins would not make me happy...that's how I know it wasn't that. There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning

Vallerina 2 #6 June 24, 2003 QuoteWow...I did that EXACT same thing at WFFC last year...... You were just trying to figure out the best way to balance that bottle on my ass! (Oh...and it will no longer be able to hold one ) What are you doing online anyways? Shouldn't you be crawling back by now? Michele 1 #7 June 24, 2003 YAYAYAYAYAYAYAY you, gorgeous ballerina girl you! I went en pointe once. For about 1/7 of a second. Then I fell over onto my face. That was when I knew I would have to be content watching the ABT (with Baryishnikov no less) and fantasizing about being graceful. I went to the ballet faithfully for years. And never got any more graceful. Yayayayayayay for you again! Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
VanillaSkyGirl 6 #8 June 24, 2003 Baryishnikov...yum... Congratulations on being a ballerina, again, Val! Dancing ballet takes such grace and strength mental and otherwise that it will probably help to improve your skydiving skills. I also have been considering taking ballet classes as an adult. The thought of it makes me smile...
PhillyKev 0 #9 June 24, 2003 Hey Val...just wanted to let you know. Screened the WFFC DVD for my coworkers yesterday. They all said you have nice tits
Vallerina 2 #10 June 24, 2003 QuoteI went en pointe once. For about 1/7 of a second. Then I fell over onto my face. Haha! That's actually half of the reason I stuck with ballet for so long....was just to get good enough to dance en pointe. The last year or so of dancing was WORK...it was no longer fun. So, I finally got good enough, bought myself some toe shoes, and I used them for maybe 6 months before I quit. QuoteI went to the ballet faithfully for years. And never got any more graceful. Same here! I was just a tall, lanky girl with strong feet! I moved about very awkward-like. QuoteYayayayayayay for you again! Thanks, Michele. QuoteDancing ballet takes such grace and strength mental and otherwise that it will probably help to improve your skydiving skills. Yeah, I'm still surprised how strong the petite ballerinas really are. They look delicate, but they could all kick my ass in! I'm not sure if it will improve my skydiving skills, but it will improve my mental health QuoteI also have been considering taking ballet classes as an adult. The thought of it makes me smile... GO FOR IT!!!!!! It is so much fun, and it brought up many fond childhood memories for me. This time, however, I will not let my mother sew me anything with sequins on it! Vallerina 2 #11 June 24, 2003 You should make that statement past tense. I no longer have them. They have shrank considerably. At least I have proof that I once had a nice set....There's a thin line between Saturday night and Sunday morning
EricaH 0 #12 June 24, 2003 Yahoo for you!! That's awsome - it does feel good to know you can still do some stuff & if it kept your backside smaller before, it's certain to help now. you go chicka!! There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)
jceman 1 #13 June 24, 2003 So what sort of ballet steps are appropiate for ABBA? Seriously, good on ya, Val. Faster horses, younger women, older whiskey, more money. Why do they call it "Tourist Season" if we can't shoot them?
