skybytch 273 #1 June 25, 2003 In honor of mouths' visit to Perris the sun came out to play with us today. After a leisurely breakfast at Denny's, it was off to the dz with my gear, Lisa's two rigs and suitcase, a sleeping bag and a big container holding the tent and air mattress. First stop was tent city, where we put up my new "car camping" tent for the beer time. After a small brain fart on my part, the air mattress got inflated. Then it was off to jump! We were the only ones with grippers on a full Otter. Which isn't really a bad thing, cuz we got to go first. Lisa floated and I did a poised exit a second after her, then turned around so she could float up to me. She's a damn good floater, btw. Then we spun the two way pretty much til breakoff. Fun skydive! While Lisa was packing (I didn't get a picture, but it really happened! She packed her own rig!!), Shark showed up with a friend of his who had just earned his AFF rating (at 380 jumps!!! Dayummmm...). We threw together a four way - zig zag, spin pieces backward to zig zag, spin pieces forward to zig zag. To mix it up a bit the guys launched a two way and Lisa and I dove after it. They took off a sweet exit and I had a nice easy dive down to my slot. I turned the piece the wrong way, which confused everyone but me. Still fun, and we almost made it to the last zig zag. Stood up a crosswind landing in the student circle on that one. A couple glasses of Pyramid later and I was headed home. Not a bad Tuesday.... not bad at all... Michele 1 #3 June 25, 2003 I do believe that I will be playing in the sun tomorrow...and hope to have 1/2 as sweet a day as you did. Elsinore tomorrow, anyone?? Ciels- Michele ~Do Angels keep the dreams we seek While our hearts lie bleeding?~
AggieDave 6 #4 June 25, 2003 Its been done before. Hell, theres a guy at my DZ with a crap load of tunnel time and is a Skydive U. coach with 250 jumps that would be ready for the AFF course if it wasn't for the 6hrs of freefall requirement.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Zeemax 0 #5 June 25, 2003 if the suns out tomorrow (fingers crossed) i'll be at the DZ as soon as i wake up (damn night work) going on up to warp level 4 which was better than my first level with him. Very funny, i left the plane, then when he let go he dropped about 90 ft below me. I now were a lot of lead..
