MyOwnWay 0 #1 June 25, 2003 okay, so i started this new job about a week and a half ago. every time i look up i find that someone is staring at me. i am thinking to myself "do i have a booger hanging out of my nose or a piece of lettuce stuck between my teeth? what's the deal?" so i head to the ladies room and check the mirror, but no boogers or lettuce. why do people stare?? it could be that a) i am a new female (mostly men staring) b) i am the boss' daughter c) i have a booger/lettuce problem or d) they're thinking "she doesn't know how to do her job!!" why do you (people in general) stare at someone else?? i am really get tired of finding others ALWAYS looking at me!!! grrrrrrrrrrr_________________________________________ all good things are wild and free - Henry David Thoreau Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I'll go with A & B You can't expect guys not to look ... you said you are the boss' daughter, that alone will have people checking you out to see if you are actually doing work or just enjoying the nepotism (sp) . The best way to deal with it is to engage the person in conversation... kinda makes them put up or shut up (quit staring).
