Snowbird 0 #79 June 25, 2003 Thanks Sunshine! Yup, Fire in the Sky. Freaky. I'm getting cold chills just thinking about it... Women and cats will do as they please, and men and dogs should relax and get used to the idea. -Robert A. Heinlein

Bonus: Name the actor that appeared in this feature and was in a series that often dealt with aliens."The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat." Biscuit 0 #81 June 25, 2003 I don't know if anyone ever saw "the watcher in the woods" It's a cheesy disney movie but it totally whacked me out. A few monthes ago it was on cable and I was like, "I can handle it, I'm 23 years old". I can't handle it. That movie scares the piss out of me. ****************************************** The last mosquito that bit me had to book into the Betty Ford Clinic. -Patsy

Deuce 1 #83 June 25, 2003 Exorcist. Taking a 6th grade altar boy to see the Exorcist is the reason my older sister will surely go to hell. Getting under my bed and shaking it while I was all freaked out is a reason she'll get a special corner
livendive 8 #84 June 25, 2003 Attack of the Killer Bees (or something like that...I was like 8 and scared of bees for years after) Great White (a Jaws ripoff that was pulled from theaters after like a week because the Jaws folks sued) The Exorcist Amityville 2 Edited to add Invasion of the Body Snatchers after reading it in someone else's list. Man that movie freaked me out. I can still vividly see the final scene in my mind, despite not having seen that movie in 20 years or more."I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" cianct 0 #86 June 25, 2003 CHILDREN OF THE CORN! Funny story: A fellow skydiver had a cutaway and another teammate followed the main down. He had to go into the cornfield to find it. Naturally it fell all the way to the ground so he couldn't just look for the bright colors on top of the corn. When he came back, I simply said "They want you to Malacai" He freaked out and said that that is what he thought about the whole time looking for the main. airann 1 #88 June 25, 2003 QuoteThe Wizard of Oz. Something about those freaky flying monkeys would just get me every year. ..... actually met some flying monkeys, it's all good, but still...as a child...geesh! Hands down Wizard of Oz- after that I never watched another horror movie. If that was a kids deal. Then I am a monkeys uncle. Never saw any of the horror movies listed here because of those monkeys. About meeting flying moneys and it being all good, NOPE. Oz monkeys or skymonkeys both scare the hell outta me. ~AirAnn~

SpeedRacer 1 #91 June 25, 2003 Probably Wizard of Oz. The witch was scary. That coffee lady's performance was so intense! A lot of those other movies like the Shining, exorcist, etc. I didn't see until I was 12 or over, so it wasn't quite as scary. The first horror movie I saw was on TV when I was 5. The Tarantula. Basic early 60s movie about a tarantula that is fed radioactive food & gets REALLY big & goes on a rampage. My twin brother and I watched it, but we didn't understand the concept of horror movies. So we weren't scared, because we were on the Tarantula's side. My brother cried at the end of the movie when the people finally killed the giant Tarantula. It was very sad. Chris With that said, Long Island is scary on land and water. Shotgun 1 #100 June 26, 2003 QuoteProbably Wizard of Oz. Man, I never realized how many kids thought the Wizard of Oz was scary! I watched that every year as a kid and couldn't wait until I was old enough to get my own freakin' flying monkeys... Oh wait, does that make me the wicked witch??? (And of course now I have it on video so I can watch it with Dark Side of the Moon ;-) Ok, well now I have to admit I got a little bit scared in "Bambi" of all things... but I was really young...
