skybytch 273 #1 June 30, 2003 I'm exhausted. I hurt in places I didn't know I had muscles. I don't even want to count my new bruises - they are colorful though. And I'm a way better skydiver today than I was last week. We did four 84 way attempts on Sunday. My slot was one off where I was on the women's dives, so I was pretty confident I could do it. The dives were... interesting. The base funneled on the first one, which meant we all got to dive. On the second one the base had a sweet launch and was flying great when one jumper just kind of dropped out and under it. He washed around under there for awhile, taking out Tony in the process. After looking at the video and talking to the jumper they think he passed out. He didn't remember the jump at all; just remembers exit and landing hard. Luckily he managed to get clear, pull and land without injury. The third and fourth ones were okay. No completions, but that wasn't the point. All in all it was a fun learning experience. Got to hang out and jump with a bunch of old and new friends, challenge myself in the sky and jump with the best. I highly recommend Kate, Tony and Dan's big way camps to anyone who thinks they want to do 100 ways. You'll not only learn a huge amount, you'll have a great time while you're doing it.
