Katharine Hepburn has passed away

Recommended Posts

Katharine Hepburn, once called "box office poison" because of her penchant of speaking her mind and picking her own route through life, passed away today at the age of 96.

Nominated 12 times for an Oscar and winner 4 times, she died peacefully at her home in Connecticutt.

I have incredible childhood memories of this indomitable, beautiful, elegant and classy lady, who touched the hearts of millions of people, encountered the most amazing love with Spencer Tracy, and lived her life her way on her terms.

Blue skies, Katharine, and thanks for all of it.

JT,

You have seen her older movies. She was beautiful. I just heard this on the news.

Rest in Peace, Ms. Hepburn. This world has just lost one beautiful talent. But the next world just gained one.

:(

What a great loss. I absolutely loved her and her work. I will never forget the play she did here, a once in a life time event for me. I still have the ticket and program to the play!

Either that, or you'll be lucky enough that the people who don't go EEEEEWWW are the ones who look.

Y'know, we're made the way we're made, and to me, just about everyone is beautiful in their own way. Yeah, even the old-lady pictures. My dad's 85, and there are definitely women who turn him one, and they're his age. I should be so lucky :)
And Katharine Hepburn was as classy as they come.

Let's fast forward 1 year to June 29, 2004:

We learn that sinker's 7 year old daughter would like to dig up Katherine Hepburn.

I say LET THE DEAD REST IN PEACE!!!

cutie??

You know what, JT? You're right. "Cutie" is not a way I would describe her.

Elegant. Classic. Handsome. Gorgeous. Talented. Beautiful. Strong. Brilliant. Graceful.

Those are better words.

and she enjoyed LOONS too...

Actually, her movie that you reference, "On Golden Pond", was one of my, and my mother's favorite movies.

The only way to make it better, in this day and age of digitizing movies, is to remove that bitch, Jane Fonda!

Wendy,

I beg to differ that she was classy. The main reason is that she took upon herself to get into a relationship with a married person. Yes, I'm not puritan, but I guess the way I see this culture of simply idolizing the wrong people for the wrong reason is just simply wrong.

Just my 2 cts....

The penalty for surviving is to get older. IF you survive to 96 please feel free to remember back through your life and remember all the things you may wish to have changed if you could just do it all over. Judging others based on age or cuteness will come back to haunt you. Some peoples "hotness quotient" female or male goes down rather rapidly. I myself believe a good soul and treating others well thoughout life is a valid ticket to forstalling all those regrets in later life.

Ms Hepburn lead a far more interesting life and I would say did far more for far more people than most of those who inhabit this small planet. May she rest in the peace she deserves and has earned

Ofcourse I am agreeing with you because you are a lot taller than me and could probably drop me like a sack of potatoes.

Just kidding, I agree with everything you said.

Rest in Peace Ms. Hepburn.
