QuickDraw 0 #26 June 29, 2003 It was a refueling joke. (not too sure if you can refuel F116's in the air anyway.) By the way, when are you jumping next ? -- Hope you don't die. -- I'm fucking winning

jessd 0 #29 June 29, 2003 Nice Chris. Congrats on passing level 4. I was yet again too scared to jump again this weekend. "Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away..."
Muenkel 0 #30 June 29, 2003 Jess, You're thinking too much...I think You can do this, I know you can. But it is a personal decision. If you ever want to talk about it, call me. Chris _________________________________________ Chris
howardwhite 6 #31 June 30, 2003 QuoteYou're thinking too much...I think Didn't I tell you that to your face Saturday? You're stealing my lines. Also didn't I tell you it's Categories, not Levels? Maybe if you had done a Category D instead of a Level 5, you would have been o.k. HW
Muenkel 0 #32 June 30, 2003 Now Howard, go back to sitting on that couch and stay out of this. Chris _________________________________________ Chris
freeflir29 0 #33 June 30, 2003 Dude.....a few minutes in the tunnel and you'll be smokin this stuff. Now...all I need is a 165MPH tunnel so I can work on my HD Big Way skills.
Muenkel 0 #34 June 30, 2003 I got 10 minutes reserved and just may reserve some more...who knows? Can't wait to get down to the 98 degree heat with the 98 degree humidity. riddler 0 #36 June 30, 2003 QuoteActually if you remember my last experience in the tunnel resulted in an injury that took 2 months to heal. Goods write-up and good reminder about the tunnel. Just 'cause it's not skydiving doesn't mean it's safe. I saw a guy dislocate a shoulder in there (I have video ). Enough air pressure to blow your entire body in the air is enough pressure to hurt you. That having been said, can we please have all the new tunnels now?? I need another hobby for when I'm not skydiving.
Muenkel 0 #37 June 30, 2003 I do believe I'll be fine this time. I have more experience in freefall and know how to arch and relax. My shoulder also has been feeling fine. This will give me an opportunity to work out the mental block I've had with the stability issues. And, if my shoulder is going to dislocate, I'd rather it be in the tunnel then in freefall. rgoetsch 0 #38 June 30, 2003 Good job, Howard! We've spent all season making sure the instructors and jumpers that grew up with AFF know that Jumptown is doing ISP- Catagories- Now that we've harassed all people that should know better we have a new student trying to take us drag us back into the past... :) And Howard- stay on the couch as long as you want---as long as you are perusing Trade-A-Plane for my Super Cub! Have fun in the tunnel, Chris- :) "If you're not on the centerline -you're out of control"
Muenkel 0 #39 June 30, 2003 Hey, Howard's my buddy. And I'm just doing what my instructor thought would be quite helpful to my progression. Chris _________________________________________ Chris
rgoetsch 0 #40 July 1, 2003 Chris- I'm just teasing you about calling the categories "levels" - It has been a difficult transition for everyone to get used to- not just the jumpmasters. It's hard to change the "sales pitch" that you've been doing for the last 10 years from "7 Levels of AFF" to the explanation of the categories. The levels were a lot easier to explain! :) Did Howard tell you he's buying me a SuperCub??!! :) -rose (the girl with the cutest dog in the whole wide world! - that everyone borrowed to take for a walk... JDBoston 0 #41 July 1, 2003 Oscar... Oscar... Oscar... does he miss me? Of course, you have some stiff competition with those puppies that Leah and Matt brought on Sunday... Joe
Muenkel 0 #42 July 1, 2003 Hey Rose, I didn't know that was you. I love your puppy. Last year when I was "attempting" to start AFF they were still called levels. I'm trying to get used to calling them categories. See you the weekend after the next.Hopefully, I'll learn something in the tunnel. Muenkel 0 #44 July 1, 2003 Alright already!!! Change all the terms you want and laugh at me when I use the wrong words...I don't care. My TLO for now is to learn how to get stable. And Rose, you know I am not a shy person. Wait till I get really relaxed and feeling more comfortable at the dz. I just may get thrown out of there. Chris And Joe, Oscar looks a little happier to see me than he does when he sees you. _________________________________________ Chris
Shark 0 #45 July 1, 2003 QuoteMy TLO for now is to learn how to get stable. Uh, just one more.... the TLOs are now Performance Objectives. BTW, I'm still old school and use the old nomenclature.
Muenkel 0 #46 July 1, 2003 QuoteUh, just one more.... the TLOs are now Performance Objectives Not according to the syllabus they gave me. So until I see an updated syllabus with all the new terminology, I will stick with TLO's. So you can just shove your performance objectives up your ass!
