wlie 0 #1 July 1, 2003 Never hurts to call your credit card co's and just ask for it. While having the balance paid off, I called to see if they could make the APR look more attractive and BAM! Got 8.24% knocked off. Effective immediately I'm at 4.25%. YEAH!!! One trick I learned is to present another bank's rate. It could be another credit card you have, it could also be an offer in the mail. When you call, mention the rate from the other guy and ask your CC co to match it.
