Creep0321 0 #1 January 9, 2012 I just bought a Javelin Odessy. The harness size is c-19 which is designed for some one 6'2" im 5'9" When i put the rig on the only thing that seems to be to big though is the leg straps, although if i tighten them down ALL the way, there good. Any idea if Sun Path would be able to rezise this for me? and if so, aproximatly how much it would cost?Jack of all trades. Military Free Fall Jumpmaster. USA Static-line Jumpmaster. Skydivesg 7 #2 January 9, 2012 I see you were looking at a rig that was sized for someone 5'11" and now you bought one sized for someone 6'2"? Wow. I hope you got a good deal. Your profile says you are at Raeford. That's where the Javelin is made. Send a message to Chris Talbert (Sunpath) on Facebook and he'll steer you in the right direction.Be the canopy pilot you want that other guy to be. likestojump 3 #3 January 9, 2012 if it's an Odyssey it most likely has chest and hip rings. if you are 5'9", you need the MLW to be 17", instead of 19". the cost to replace the pieces of webbing between the rings is $150 USD + inspection + shipping. Well worth it. Contact Sunpath in the morning. Legstraps wrap around your thighs, they do nothing to "take in" MLW that's too long

Well worth it. Contact Sunpath in the morning. Legstraps wrap around your thighs, they do nothing to "take in" MLW that's too long I just had my first rig (1998 jav) resized. My harness did not have hip or chest rings and it cost me $300 to go from a C19 to a C18. They shortened the MLB, replaced the laterals and shortened the legstraps by two inches. So in total it was $150 for the MLW adjustment and $150 for the lateral and legstrap adjustment. I was told that if I wanted hip and chest rings that the whole harness would have to be replaced at a cost of $750 so no rings for me on this one as I will probably sell the rig in the next few years anyway. Like it was posted give Sunpath a call and see what they have to say.

DrewEckhardt 0 #6 January 10, 2012 QuoteI just bought a Javelin Odessy. The harness size is c-19 which is designed for some one 6'2" It should also fit some one 5'9 with a 30" inseam or a long legged guy 6'6" with a 39" inseam because torso length is the determining factor. A rule of thumb for main lift web size is height - inseam - 20 all measured in inches. I'm 5'10 with a 30.5" inseam and have custom rigs with 19-20" main lift webs that fit perfectly. likestojump 3 #10 January 10, 2012 I am betting you did your measurements wrong. a 45" chest at 5'9.5" is a helluva upper body combine that with being 178lbs and I call for HAVING SOMEONE ELSE MEASURE YOU !

likestojump 3 #14 January 10, 2012 Valid point :). the previous pics only showed the left mudflap where I did not spot the orange Odyssey embroidery on orange wasn't visible. good luck !
Deyan 36 #15 January 10, 2012 I have never seen Javelin with cut in laterals and single piece leg pads, but the third picture was really clear :)"My belief is that once the doctor whacks you on the butt, all guarantees are off" Jerry Baumchen

Not sure about the type of legstraps though, but that's a lot easier to change...
