Push 0 #1 July 3, 2003 Ok, here's the scoop. A long time ago I ordered a cypres 2 from Square 1. The customs agents held the shipment because they did not know what it was. Once I explained, the agent told me that they need to collect the money owing before they send out the shipment. This is strange, because I've received several shipments before where I only had to pay once I received the shipment. But OK, I say I'll pay. They give me two numbers which I can then use on a webpage they've got, and make a secure payment over the internet. I try it, and the numbers don't work, no such transaction exists. I email the agent with the issue, and she tells me to provide a credit card number. Now the whole affair begins to stink. What do you folks think? -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. Push 0 #3 July 3, 2003 I don't even need to give the money to the guy. I just need to pay those folks with my CC over the internet. Brains 2 #4 July 3, 2003 DON'T give your credit card # to ANYONE on an e-mail. Ask them to give you the proper numbers or make a new account or something to do it over a secure site. Faber 0 #5 July 3, 2003 well as i live on the other side of the sea,ill ask that same Q when i need to transfer mony,or at least some bank info my bank can hold up so im sure the rigth person gets the mony. I think its a trust issue. When i order somthing i usaly pay first, then when the mony is there the person will ship the stuff. But then i would like to be sure to know were to get the fingers in the person if some one desides to take the mony but forget to send my stuff. However its more easy to my Bank to send mony if they have info. Its migth becourse i live in small DK but i dont really think we have any problems that way here..(thinking of hacking into a account) Stay safe Stefan Faber
