chopchop 0 #1 July 3, 2003 Nasty Clown that is.... He was banned from Talkback after only 7 posts in under 2 hours.. this is pretty much a record. He had his only post removed from intros and greets within 15 minutes of posting it. And finally, he pissed off a certain greenie... which was his main goal and purpose in life. Anyway, he's gone.. banned for life by the great HH.. and I wanted to apologize to any of you that were offended by him as he created havoc... You see.. he was just a simple ass-clown that was upset about the butt-sex poll thread being so heartlessly and mercilessly disposed of with the simple comment of "I am not amused" which left him with the feeling that the forum was simply for one man's amusement. I firmly believe that Sangiro did not create the site for one person's amusement but for the enjoyment of a large group of skydivers and those interested in skydiving. Maybe a butt-sex poll isn't appropriate but by the time it was trashed, the thread was on fire and there were over 60 votes for people's proclivities. To me, that seems like it was a popular subject but I could be wrong... I've certainly been wrong before. So.. that's it. I'll try to behave in a manner in which said greenie is amused from now on when I post to his moderated forums and I again apologize to any of you that were offended by the tirade.. While just about every topic anyone can think of probably has or could be discussed here, the main focus of the web site is skydiving. Hey, I'll admit I talk about other things too. That's why we have the Talkback Forum to begin with. However, when the topic gets out of hand and the entire board essentially gets hijacked into an area that makes people uncomfortable, unwelcome, shows a fairly large amount of bigotry and especially one that would have a tendency to really turn off the newbies, well, at some point somebody has to step in and regain just a slight bit of control. Chuck is only doing his job as best he sees fit and to be honest, you're lucky that only the clown was banned.
