What's yours? When you wake up feeling like you swallowed a live electric eel and he's now making his way into your brain via the spinal cord, how do get feeling human again? Water, chinese food and T3s aren't doing the trick right now for me.

It helps if you put down as much water as you can stomach before going to bed and multivitamin. Once I'm awake I prefer a long hot shower to clean out the pores, at least one Mt. Dew and sometimes two, lots and lots of H2O and fresh orange juice, and a big breakfast.

Try to puke some after a bit too much drinks! Not sure if it is not good for us. And drink lots of water (2 to 3 pints) before u go to bed. Set a clock alarm at 5am, wake up, swallow some headache tablets then sleep it off. Have some full English breakfast. Expect that you won't be at 100% next day. It seems work every time for me! I dunno if this works for someone else.

If you don't want to have hangovers forever - RUN a mile if u see any beer, spirit and wine! :)
Happy New Year!

I can't believe no one's pointed out the most powerful cure. Drink a beer. If that doesn't help, have another. Repeat as needed.

And the award for the best cure goes too.....Blewaway5. Except I gotta work this afternoon. H2O it is[:/]

I usually drink lots of water before bed and huge glass of tomato juice in the morning. I'm feeling pretty good now - despite my cold.

Just drink loads of water before you go to bed. Works every time for me.

It depends. I used to date the person with the bladder of a newborn baby. I told her about the dehydration problem and suggested that she drink a glass of water. She kept waking me up when she got out of bed to pee all night. :o

"burnt toast" Actually works.

Personal method:
During the evening -
Having a nice meal.
Drinking water (ice) with my bourbon.
The morning after -
Drinking water the next morning to re-hydrate.
Drinking orange juice to restore electrolytes.
Burnt toast to cleanse the system.

WebMd Hangover Cures

"Impurities are added to alcoholic beverages during the distillation process, and these contribute to the nasty stomachache you get with your hangover. These impurities are especially high in sweeter drinks and malt liquors. Drinking lots of water, then, does two things: it rehydrates your body and dilutes the impurities left in your belly.

Schaefer has this explanation for why that helps: Carbon in the charred part of the toast filters the impurities. In fact, people who come into hospital emergency rooms with alcohol poisoning get a potent carbon slurry pumped into their stomachs for the same reason. The burnt toast is a much more moderate version of the same remedy.
