ChasingBlueSky 0 #1 July 2, 2003 Anyone else see this movie tonight? Non - spoiler review: I liked it, and will be the second movie this summer I deem worthy of a second viewing._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... riddler 0 #3 July 2, 2003 I didn't think it was very good. There were a few good action scenes. Acting was not half-bad, surprisingly. Not half-good either, but better than the average action flick. Everything else was predictable and has been done before. Humans are wusses. Then there was the old homeless guy in the theater with the obsessive-compulsive disorder that kept pointing at the screen and yelling whatever came to his mind. That was more entertaining than the movie.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD

That was more entertaining than the movie. I found the acting by the new John Conor and Claire Danes to be good - Arnold has never acted, and Kristina was very good as a robot - stiff. However, just never got the same "oh damn" feeling when she was on screen like you did with the T1000._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... riddler 0 #5 July 2, 2003 Ya, that and I thought John Connor was a wimp. If Linda Hamilton was his mom, he must have taken more after his father.Trapped on the surface of a sphere. XKCD
ChasingBlueSky 0 #6 July 2, 2003 QuoteYa, that and I thought John Connor was a wimp. If Linda Hamilton was his mom, he must have taken more after his father. Actually, I didn't see him as a wimp. I saw him as a man trying to deny his destiny, and believe that his fate is really what he makes. The entire movie was about fate, destiny, predistination and hope._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... GrumpySmurf 0 #7 July 2, 2003 I was curious to see what people would say about it, given Cameron wasn't listed in the Crew credits. Another typical summer action flick, I guess?
CanuckInUSA 0 #8 July 3, 2003 Well I just got back from T3 and I enjoyed it. There were numerous scenes which were done kind of poorly, but the special effects were awesome and what can I say, I'm a fan of the Terminator series. Also, the female Terminator is ... well ... she's just one hottie. It sure looks like there will be yet another sequel to this series. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

I do have to admit - prob the best integrated CGI in a movie in a very long time._________________________________________ you can burn the land and boil the sea, but you can't take the sky from me.... Samurai136 0 #10 July 3, 2003 QuoteAnyone seen 28 days yet? 28 Days, the Sandra Bullock Al Anon movie?!? or do you mean _28 Days Later_ the Danny Boyle plague/zombie horror movie that just came out? Ebert liked it but his review did not convince me to run out and see it right away... Ken"Buttons aren't toys." - Trillian Ken

Magistr8 0 #12 July 3, 2003 I saw this movie last night and I was very dissapointed. I admit that my hopes were a little high for this movie but it still did not do very well IMHO. They didn't need to try to make Arne so funny, it was great in the moment but took away from the overall. I really want them to make a 4th movie here in the series but at the same time they really need to get an actor who can act to play the terminator or get rid of the terminator all together and just have them fighting the war. EricaH 0 #13 July 3, 2003 Well, I didn't want to see it... but let my s/o chose what to see... considering the fact that I saw T2 about 2 years ago & never saw the original, I'm not the typical "terminator" fan, though I do like action flicks. This was really good!! I'd see it again . The girl was hot... John Conor was perfect - little wimpy lost boy that seems to come into himself when he realizes his destny has cought up w/ him - as was Clair Danes (even though she looks in her mid 30s) & it's amazing to see Arnold look so good being older than my DAD! and the special effects were really cool - not unrealistic, just kick ass. There seems to be a lead up to a sequel... but it's not necessary & I hate it when they're necessary (read Matrix Reloaded) There is no can't. Only lack of knowledge or fear. Only you can fix your fear. PMS #227 (just like the TV show)
TheRus 0 #14 July 3, 2003 I'll prolly go see T3 this weekend sometime... 28 Days Later was great! I went to see it with a group this past weekend and loved it. It had some really cool things going on that made you actually THINK during the movie. Next movie after T3? PIRATES PF THE CARRIBEAN!!! Yeah, it's fine, we'll walk down the line. Leave our rain, a cold trade for warm sunshine You my friend, I will defend... and if we change, well, I love you anyway
livendive 8 #15 July 3, 2003 Quote I do have to admit - prob the best integrated CGI in a movie in a very long time. Better than Gollum/Smeagol? I saw T3 last night. Overall I wasn't that impressed. I'd rank it in the middle of the pack of "mainstream" shoot-em-ups. Blues, Dave"I AM A PROFESSIONAL EXTREME ATHLETE!" (drink Mountain Dew)
Ira 0 #16 July 3, 2003 They are setting up a sequel. Their is a new series of Terminator Books that they are roughly following that track John and Sarrah Conner as John grows up and runs from the things skynet sends to get him. Not bad reads. Seeing the Flick tonight
champu 1 #17 July 3, 2003 I saw 28 days later and T3, thought the later was better. some of the best car chases I've ever seen in T3. 28 days later was pretty good for a zombie movie, it had a lot of great scenes in it that made you think but at other times I just groaned and rolled my eyes a lot Ira: I saw your avatar and laughed cause I remember your static-line photo plastered all over Archway (it's even at the top of their website) Were you involved in that all girl 9-way last sunday? skreamer 1 #18 July 3, 2003 Haven't seen T3 yet, but saw '28 days later' in November last year (dunno why they took so long to release it on big screen in states). It starts out quite well, but unfortunately turns shit after that. Something that really annoyed me in 28 days was the VERY blatant product placement. I remember one part in the movie where someone says 'I couldn't eat another thing', someone then replies 'But I could eat another Terry's Chocolate Orange'. It was so OTT it was almost funny. I could see though how the gore value would appeal to American pro-wrestling fans.

quade 4 #21 July 3, 2003 QuoteThere were a few good action scenes. I dunno man, that car / crane chase is probably one of the best chase scenes ever. Way better than the freeway stuff in Matrix Reloaded. Far more realistic. I sort of work in the business and I was having a difficult time keeping track of what was real and what was CGI during that. To me, it all looked extremely good.quade - The World's Most Boring Skydiver

Trevor 0 #25 July 3, 2003 Take a look when John Conner and his chick are getting on the blue cessna- there's a big ass tail number and then when the plane's in flight, it's got a different tail number; then back to the first number when it lands. I liked the movie overall- T2 is still the best, but this one was worth the trip. And it was too rainy to jump anyway...
