Sebazz1 2 #1 July 8, 2003 Wow! Is all I can say. Minnesota is such a beautiful place. Everything is so lush and green and for the week I was out there the weather was spectacular. Except for a few wild late evening lightning and thunder storms blue skies reigned supreme. I fished up north and caught myself around 15 fish total. I kept about 3 good sized Crappies (pronounced “crop-ees”). I lost a few huuuge Northern Pike due to 4 lb line but the fight was good and they definitely deserved to escape. Some small mouth and big mouth Bass, Perch and Sunfish as well. I can not even begin to explain how peaceful this lake we were on was. Ever hear a wild Loon sing? It was a religious experience.Minneapolis and St. Paul are fun cities as well. Spent many an evening cruising the bars and such. Also a minor league game played between the St. Paul Saints and a team from lincoln Nebraska. What a hoot! Man there are lakes galore!! Spent the fourth boating on Lake Minnetonka with almost 4,000 other boats! Epic to say the least. Also some serious nig noggery in a lake side bar involving some kick ass fire works I bought in Wisconsin and some new friends I made. Let’s just say I got away… Went to Skydive Twin Cities in Baldwin Wisconsin on July 5th as well. Just happened to be the 1 year anniversary of a very good friend Timmy Daughter’s death skydiving. It was a beautiful DZ setting. Lush green grass landing area, grass runway, a Perris Super Otter, and light winds. We (My GF and I) only did two jumps. A 2 way together and a nice gazillion point 4 way with two other local jumpers. We did not have a great experience with some of the local jumpers/sky gods unfortunately which tainted our day so we packed up early. Though we both agreed it was an awesome setting for a DZ and plan to return another day. Wisconsin is just as beautiful as Minnesota… I am relaxed. The GF’s parents were cool, made tons of new friends, and relaxed to the extreme. I am so very happy. It’s good to be home but I think somewhere inside me I think Minnesota could be home some day… I know I know the winters but still… The people, the summers… It just might be worth it… Anyway, I’m back!!! I left much of my trip out but who wants to read a super long thread anyway… Anyone miss me?? P.S. ~ Thanks for the B-day thread… 29 aint all that bad… I still feel like a young pup

Sebazz1 2 #11 July 8, 2003 Oh and one of the best things is I did not wear shoes or pants for almost ten days... Sandals, shorts, and occasional a t-shirt... Chillin to the max!

TheAnvil 0 #16 July 8, 2003 I don't believe you. Hook up your mic to the computer. Say Minnesota ten times into the mic then say the pledge of allegiance and recite the Gettysburg address into the mike, record it, and put it up here as a .wav as proof! Glad you're back! dterrick 0 #18 July 8, 2003 Welcome back dude! you forgot to mention the killer mosquitoes though. Yes, the winters are hell but that's what southern DZ's are for, right? Here's a twist... Thursday I arrive back in Belmont and will be house sitting till the 28th. 2 big dogs, 2 cats, 2 cars, no rig, not much cash. I'm alternating between thoughts of begging for someone's spare rig and doing Hollister for a day or annoying the neighbors and inviting y'all up into the Belmont hills for an unauthorized bash. Either way, watch for the "I'm baaaack" thread Dave Life is very short and there's no time for fussing and fighting my friend (Lennon/McCartney)
