bobsled92 0 #1 July 11, 2003 Today I am 36 years old. In spirit: not a day over 19 stillI felt more impowered when I hit 30: "It feels good to finally be an Adult". The "past 35" thing has me 50/50 with "party time 'cause it's my day" and " Hey! your are now PAST 35"_______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
vt1977 0 #2 July 11, 2003 Happy Birthday! I think birthdays are great, but then I am still in my mid 20s and that may well change in a few years... Have a great day, Vicki
bobsled92 0 #3 July 11, 2003 I prefer the "Party" feel for things. It's just that it's 6:17am here and I'm going to the Hospital for a procedure (ulcer) & I banged up my shoulder last week too. I already order my new MERLIN suit (gift#1) I'll probably get some videos and check out the OMEGA Neon Yel&Royal Blue rig (my colors anyway!) His new shop is a nice set up._______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
KenKnight 0 #4 July 11, 2003 Happy Birthday Just another day to me. If my family didn't make a big deal out of it I'd forget mine. Usually have to do the math if asked my age. Its just not important enough to me to keep up with._______________ D28695 PoPs #9237 "Mix ignorance with arrogance at low altitude and the results are almost guaranteed to be spectacular" — Bruce Landsberg
bobsled92 0 #5 July 11, 2003 Well, I think my family always made a big deal out of it, was due to it being a "Flipin' miracle" that us kids made it through another year. We all started skiing at 3(oldest brother @ 2yrs old) dirt bikes: all before 5yrs old. all Scuba (&rock climb for a spell) and all members, except Dad, skydive(including Mom 1time) E.O.D. was Dad's thing...it killed him) I try to be safe now compared to before -Grant_______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
Muenkel 0 #6 July 11, 2003 We measure things by putting a number on it, and then we let it bum us out. Time is always moving and you can do nothing with the past. It's the present we can try to do something about. I'm turning 40 the end of August and it really bummed me for a little while, because I had all these expectations of what I should have accomplished by 40. I should be married by now, should have the family by now, blah, blah, blah. I've also gotten comments from folks who tell me I am now middle-aged. Well how the hell do they know if I am middle aged. If I die at 41, then I was middle aged at 20. Now I realize I am fine with turning 40. Hell, I still have a full head of hair, none gray yet and am in fairly decent shape. I've even been told by many folks that I don't look older than my early 30's. 40 is also a cool age because I find it easier now to make friends with folks who are from a wider variety of ages. I have friends now from their early 20's to 70, and the age part doesn't matter. My favorite part of being the age I am right now is people are wondering if I am going through a mid-life crisis, because I am learning to skydive.Anyway, sorry for the rambling. Also, sorry you have to go through some medical procedures on your birthday. But I wish you a great birthday! And don't forget, 36 year olds can still claim to be in their mid thirties. wmw999 2,558 #8 July 11, 2003 Happy birthday. Frankly, I love birthdays, and really don't mind getting older. So have a great one. And 36 is a really good age. For some reason, 35 was awful, and they've all been better than that one. Wendy W.There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. txblondie 0 #11 July 11, 2003 Happy b-day! B-days are great, as long as you don't feel old... Who cares how old you actually are? It all depends on how old you feel, and if you feel 19, that's great! Myself, I hope I still feel like I do today (I'm 23) 50 years from now! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
jessd 0 #12 July 11, 2003 Happy Birthday!! I love when it is my Birthday. I look forward to it for weeks and always plan something fun to do. I am only 25 so this may change in the future - but for now I will continue looking forward to them. Chris - when I met you I definitly thought that you were more like 30. Luv2Fall 0 #15 July 11, 2003 I'm 43.............one morning it dawned upon me that 43 years flew by in what seemed like overnight.......bothered me a little. Thought it through and said "freak it" - it beats the alternative and I'm going to live life more than I ever had before, in spite of new aches and pains LOL. bobsled92 0 #16 July 11, 2003 Well, I just got back from the med center and a little loopy from the general anesthesia. All is wellAeroStore is "Closed on Fridays" total bummer. time for plan "C"(don't have one) I'm technically "physically healthy" an that makes me very happy. Push 0 #17 July 11, 2003 Today is the first day of the rest of your life. I prefer Lewis Carroll's not-a-birthdays. Hey, I'm not a year older today! -- Toggle Whippin' Yahoo Skydiving is easy. BBKid 0 #18 July 11, 2003 I don't mind getting older, and birthdays are always great for getting together with your friends and "liberating" traffic cones so that you have some fashionable headgear. The only thing that bothers me (and forgive the self-pity here) is when someone's boyfriend/girlfriend arranges a surprise party or romantic evening, whereas I have no-one to do that sort of thing for me. That said, the other 364 days of the year these couples tend to argue all the time! Nick --------------------------- "I've pierced my foot on a spike!!!" bobsled92 0 #19 July 11, 2003 Well, I can sympathize. Family here, is less than motivated. My Dad(now gone) was the one that made big things happen and I got the "CELEBRATE BIG" b-day desires from him. So, if I want it to come to life in any form, I have to plan it all. Gets tricky for me to plan suprise parties for myself, because the whole day I wonder "HEY!, what he's goning to do next?"_______________________________ If I could be a Super Hero, I chose to be: "GRANT-A-CLAUS". and work 365 days a Year. http://www.hangout.no/speednews/
