b52 0 #1 December 18, 2011 One thing that always bothered me with the N3 Audio in freefall or under canopy is having the earphone cables exposed. I don't think it is the safest thing to do. In this case the G3 is the helmet of choice and I like the N3 Audio since it can speak to you. First I cut out a 'tiny tiny' piece on the left side to make room for the earphone jack. (This is important otherwise you might damage the padding). Since the audible pouch is too small for the N3 Audio and the jack, my concern is that the constant foam pressure on the jack will damage the N3 Audio plug and not work properly anymore at some point. The cutting took a few minutes since I wanted to make sure it fits perfectly. I tucked the cable behind the foam (back piece) so it does not slide or get loose after every jump and put the earplugs in the right pouch. (see attached images) Set the Volume to 90% or more/less if needed. It works fantastic. What you need: 15 min Sharpie G3 N3A Small earphones that can play music really loud Ipod Nano for music If you have an Ipod nano you can fit it into the earphone pouch. Don't think it's the best choice to listen to music while jumping...enjoy! P.S. My only intend is to show a 'solution' for the N3 Audio and not start a discussion which audible has the same or better functionality without earphones... A whole 11 jumps, and all you want to do is listen to loud music? IMHO that is one of the most ignorant suggestions I've ever heard of.-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

rwieder 0 #4 December 19, 2011 My guess is he's a half-wit, who in the hell want's to listen to a freaking i-pod in freefall with a full face helmet? If he continues to do this, he'll be in the Incidents Forum sooner, rather than later.-Richard- "You're Holding The Rope And I'm Taking The Fall"

b52 0 #7 December 19, 2011 The intend of this mod is to be a safer skydiver. As stated in the post, neither do I believe listening to music in freefall or under canopy is particularly safe, nor do I actually do that. It is just an option that the N3 Audio offers for skydivers who think they can safely do it. I certainly hope not to end up in the incidents forum.
