txblondie 0 #1 July 13, 2003 I smoke, and sometimes I find that after I have a cigarette, I wish I hadn't smoked! Sometimes it causes a headache, other times, I just feel like "why was that necessary?" Yet, I always want another cigarette later. Do any other smokers ever feel the same way? I'm just wondering if this is normal... ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!

BobB 0 #3 July 13, 2003 I only smoke when drinking. (Smoking now, btw ). It shows that your thinking about yourself, which is a good thing. If it bothers you severely, try quitting for a couple of months. See if your quality of life improves. I quit drinking and smoking for awhile due to thoughts not unlike those you describe. Personally, I decided that I like having a few beers and smoking a few cigarettes now and then. It's not the healthiest thing, but then again neither is McDonald's or the ton of sweets I eat. Cheers... Bob Yes, I know it is snowing. No, we are not putting the top up.

juanesky 0 #7 July 14, 2003 I really feel your pain, but try to get busy every time you need one. Get professional help for that and just think the positive, instead of just satisfying the craving. RevJim 0 #8 July 14, 2003 At 6:15 a.m. Monday morning, it will be exactly 2 weeks without a cig for me. No patch, no gum, nothing. When you get a case of severe acute bronchitis which develops into pneumonia, you step back and evaluate your health. No, that didn[t get me to quit. What got me to quit was a week after initial treatment, the tiniest drag on a cig would send me into a 5 minute coughing fit. I finally opened my eyes and realized I was killing myself. That was all it took. Oh, and I was a 1.5-2 pack a day smoker for the last 15 years. It's your life, live it! suz 0 #10 July 14, 2003 Quoteshe smoked about 3 packs a day... OMG!!! That's alot of ciggie's! I hate smoking, I'd smoke about 15-20 a day. And I am on the pill. Everytime I visit the doctor, I get drilled. I'd save approx $50 a week if I quit. Don't bother me, I'm living happily ever after
cptfunky 0 #11 July 14, 2003 one thing that can really help you if you want to quit smoking is a vaporizer. This is a funny little machine, that sends hot air through the herbs you want to vaporize (in your case tobacco). The vapors are collected in a plastic bag from which you inhale them. So you get your nicotine, but you are NOT smoking, because the tobacco is not burned. I have this Vaporizer for two month and i smoke only 3 cigs a week (before it was a pack/day). This machine is not really cheap, but your health is worth it. A link to the company (HP in german and english) is here:www.storz-bickel.de. I don't get money from them for advertising their machine! I just think that it is a very good product. blues, Mike P.S: the vaporizer can be used for all different kinds of herbs
