wingnut 0 #1 July 15, 2003 well i finally did it... got myself into a postition of power...well no not actually but i did get into the position on page number 36 of the kama sutra,... no that's not it either.... i got a position flying video at my dz doing tandem video's!!!! i'm stoked... i mentioned this in the weekend numbers thread but thought i should post here too because i want everybody to know i'm so stoked!!!!!!! finally being able to get paid to jump. i love it... a free jump for the video and then another from the money you make.... only thing i hate is having to edit the video's afterwords... but i'm getting better at that, and it's getting easier.... look out 500 jumps and a rating or two (hopefully a "pro" by next summer)..... the coolest thing is i love videoing.... not real big into turning points(rw) but i love to show people thier jumps. i was paying to jump with tandems before and do video and now it's the oposite... also started shooting still pics too and hopefully soon i'll scan a few of the cooler ones and post em....... well untill later.............peace out...... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version" Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

I've been told that my DZ will likely be needing videographers in the future but they won't even consider someone until they have a minimum of 500 jumps and then they obviously need to prove that they can fly the slot. But hey most of my camera jumps have been during freefly jumps and you've been geeking tandems and RW groups for some time now right? See you in Rantoul ... If you are at a place that offers video for a set price, and you are employed to produce the video, you should get market price, that's all. At most places it's more than $18 bucks. Does your DZ use Vectors? RW said (I don't know if they still do) that a person needs 500 jumps to fly with a tandem. Srong only says that it is up to the TM. Anyway Wingnut, congrats. And be safe...The first time I almost died was around 300 jumps while videoing a tandem.
