Amazon 7 #32 July 14, 2003 Weekend of preparation for Lost Prairie, drove down to Western Parachute sales the LONG SCENIC way thru Eastern WA and Eastern OR to Estacada OR. Sat put the backup rig together and dug thru the bins of RETRO 80's Jumpsuits and found a huge almost brand new winged bell bottom monster of a suit, in my colors no less( look out little RW floaty butts)and by the time it was all ready to jump the winds had gotten squirrelly... and since I plan on jumping when I am still 90 years old and REALLY a pain in everyones ass.. opted not to jump. Took off for a drive down the Willamette Valley with friends and found a free ( other than registration etc) 1960's era BOOGIE CAMPER, lifted it with a forklift and down the road we went. Back up to Seattle and today was low clouds and wind... sat it out.. but next weekend its off to the Boogie. Amazon

wingnut 0 #35 July 14, 2003 :8 :1 8 great jumps this weekend... i only paid for 4 of them though. did my first paid tandem video on sat. and then did 2 more and then 1 today... wooo hoo... yes i bought beer (from the money i earned on the video jumps..lol) the only bad thing about flying tandem video is that you have to edit the tapes when you are done..... that sux!!!!!! can't wait untill next weekend... gona jump into the microbrwery down the way (5 miles) and have a kickass bbq on sat night... our lovley manifest skychick is tuning 21 on friday so wee have to make her sturday one to remeber...... (bad thing is no amount of alcohol will get her to flash us, she's suprisingly resistant to the flashing requests).... 296 and counting... might have to take a couple weeks off so i can hit 300 in rantoul... ______________________________________ "i have no reader's digest version"

kingbunky 3 #40 July 14, 2003 :6:lots had a BLAST with the otter in moncton. i love this plane! the first beer owed was for the first jump out of something other than a cessna. 2nd load, first off dz landing. funky winds, still trying to get the spot dialled in, big student canopy all contributed. 3rd load, first time wrapping the altimeter (over 12k, first loads were 11k due to low ceiling). last jump, first time getting extra altitude from a flash. ... and the flasher wasn't even jumping, she rode right seat just to help us get to 15k! then she flashed the plane load because she's a good sport! we also managed to break the atlantic canadian big-way record, it stands at 20 now. i know, all you guys do 20 ways before breakfast. it's not a lack of talent, it's a lack of aircraft. this was the first time an otter has flown jumpers in the maritimes. lots of stories, lots of laughs, lots of jumping and good times. even though the plane sat on the ground most of friday and all of saturday due to weather."Hang on a sec, the young'uns are throwin' beer cans at a golf cart." dove 0 #44 July 14, 2003 27 jumps this past week:only 9 this weekend:tons Made 9 freakin' incredible jumps with some of the best freefliers in the world this weekend. Losta cool firsts.... first foot to foot dock - both with me in a sit/stand and with me in a headdown. Schweet! The one with me in a headup we turned 720 degrees! DId a closed accordian, again both on my head and on my feet. Did a buncha other really cool shit I don't even know the names for (california roll I think?) Finally met Betsy, though only briefly. I had a great time in Eloy - only disappointment was finding out they quit jumping so early due to heat. But other than that - Eloy rocks! Fall in dove. Deuce 1 #46 July 14, 2003 Great mix of jumps, camera, FF, RW. ChopChop came out, BigBen made an appearance, BoyFallDown was there, Sandi too! And I got a locker in the hangar. So nice to not have to haul the helmets and other gear out every day! Now I can ride the motorcycle out with just the cameras. What's up with the tandems, though? Out of about 60 or so that came out we only sold about a dozen photo-video packages. Cheapskates
CanuckInUSA 0 #47 July 14, 2003 0:12:1 No humps ... 12 jumps including a really fun freefly night jump, participating in a buddy's 500th jump and likely my best freefly headdown jump to date on Sunday's sunset load with two of Colorado's better freefliers. Beer owed for swooping our high performance landing area for the first time. Try not to worry about the things you have no control over

chopchop 0 #50 July 14, 2003 1.7:1 wingloading on the demo Stiletto 150:14:1... Jumped at Byron all weekend.. Friday they had no King Air pilot so I did 3 Cessna jumps.. not a bad idea considering I was demoing a new canopy.. Saturday was windy as hell so I did 3, got drug on the last one and called it a day... Sunday was awesome.. no wind for most of the day.. got some kickass swoops and cool skydives in. 8 jumps total on sunday. Spent the evenings and nights at boyfalldown's house in Alameda partying with friends as girlfalldown is in HI.. Hope Jim gets the house cleaned up before Shannon gets home.. BTW.. I expected a demo 170 and was shitting my pants when Bonnie handed me the 150.. I love it though.. chopchop gotta go... Plaything needs a spanking.. Lotsa Pictures
