Does anyone know where Skymama has been?

Recommended Posts

Yep, cause I got to see her!! :P She had a family reunion here in Williamsburg, VA all week, and I had dinner with her on Monday. They were set to head back today so she should be back home tomorrow.

Edited to add that she did not get to jump while she was here. [:/] Our local DZ is only open weekends, and the ones open on weekdays were a little too far a drive for her. Hopefully I'll get to jump with her another time! ;)

Oops! :o I didn't mean to get her in trouble! She was traveling with much family...I'm SURE that's the reason she didn't drop in on you! ;) In fact, if it weren't for said family, she could have made it up here in a day and jumped with us on Sunday, so don't feel too bad! :D And I have NO idea where it was that they spent the night in North Carolina on the way up! :S:) Now I'm going to go hide from her because I KNOW I'll get in trouble for letting that part out!! :D (Sorry Andrea! :))

(Maybe this thread will be buried by the time she gets back...I can hope, can't I? :D)

Awwww, I was missed! :$ Sniff....thanks, Chris! :)
Luna and Brian had it all right. I was at a family reunion in Williamsburg with 22 family members. I drove with a carload of people, so that's why I couldn't stop and see you, Chuckie. But, if it makes you feel any better, I got really depressed when I passed the sign on I-95 that said "Raeford". I didn't call because everywhere I turned there was family and more family. Most of my conversations with skydivers aren't fit for the family to hear! We did stop for the night in Raleigh on the way up, but it was for my grandmother's 88th surprise birthday party. She was surprised, it was great, and I'm really glad the shock didn't give her a heart attack. :P

I had a really nice dinner with Luna and her non-posting, skydiving husband. She gave me a bunch of info about the area on things to do and my kids will be eternally grateful that she told us about Jillian's. The kids were a little bored with the whole Williamsburg/Jamestown thing and would have been much happier swimming in the resort pool. But, at least I did my job as the mean mother who made them learn something while on summer vacation.

Now I have about 10,000 posts to catch up on! :S
