And we're on our way

Recommended Posts

Just passing Idaho Falls, where we stopped at a brewpub for dinner. There was some confusion as the Russian exchange-program workers could not find anything in the kitchens, and there was an odd feud going on between the Russians and the Idahoans. We seem to have an affinity for ending up in the middle of things like this.

We're on our way to Lost Prairie. From there we're on to Oshkosh for the EAA convention and then on to Rantoul. This time we're in the world's smallest RV (a Roadtrek; basically a converted Dodge van.) As is my usual custom there's a lot of work to be done on the van which I'm trying to do enroute. So far so good. Last night we stopped in Mesquite, NV to sleep, but I discovered an odd thermal problem that shut down the inverter (and thus the air conditioner) after a few hours - and Mesquite isn't someplace you want to sleep without air conditioning. Thus ensued a frantic few minutes driving around at 3am looking for an 120VAC outlet.

Anyway, should be in LP tomorrow morning, for a week of jumping with Mad John and doing a lot of flying with my wingsuit. See you there (if you're going that is.)

On your way to Rantoul from Oshkosh, stop by Sky Knights in East Troy and say "Hi." :)
Enjoy your roadtrip. Have fun and be safe.

> So, any room in the Von-Novak-mobile for some skydiver blonde for a skydiver blonde?

Oh, I'm sure we could arrange some sort of a trade . . .

We got to LP today only to head immediately to the Lang, where the shareholders meeting was going on. That meant free beer, which (in combination with nasty winds) meant no jumping today. Which is fine with me. I'm still getting used to the idea that it's still fairly light out and it's 10:30 PM.
