sunshine 2 #77 July 21, 2003 QuoteUmmmm, pardon me. I will speak up for the women of these forums. I, as a representative female, DO NOT and HAVE NEVER been interested in men resembling my father. YIKES! If you're pulling that from psych books, that's a phase from when kids are really young. most 18 year olds have seriously moved past that! YIKES! Agreed ___________________________________________ meow I get a Mike hug! I get a Mike hug!
Squeak 17 #78 July 21, 2003 I'm sitting here wondering how flipant all your responses would be if the 18 yo girl was your daughter. Or the guy was a teacher of an 18yo. I firmly beleive the guy is in a possition of power and with that come a required level of professionalism and responsibility. He seems to display neither of these. Speaking for a teaching point of view, I would find it very kdifficult to accept a fellow teacher putting moves on an 18yo student. You are not now, nor will you ever be, good enough to not die in this sport (Sparky) My Life ROCKS! How's yours doing?
Tonto 1 #79 July 21, 2003 "all girls are "falling" for this" Well if you've found a trick that works on everyone... well done. Women are individuals. They can make their own choices. While there are ethics involved with him being the CI, his job is CI, and as lond as he's doing that - there is little you can do about it. Get some of your own and stop worrying about what (or who) somebody else is doing, or become CI. Note. I'm a CI. I don't date my students. tIt's the year of the Pig. freeflir29 0 #81 July 21, 2003 If she is your daughter but 18......I hope you wouldn't tell her anything other than "Use condoms please." After all...she is an adult or do you think you should try and control your kids forever?
Tonto 1 #82 July 21, 2003 Being a CI, in a relationship with someone many years younger than me (who was never one of my students), and a father of 2 daughters, I would hope they could find a relationship as good as the one I'm in right now. I've waited a lifetime for something this good. My life rocks more than yours... tIt's the year of the Pig.

Tonto 1 #84 July 21, 2003 So I think to sum up - It's not the age issue. It's the CI - Student issue. Am I right? Are you still jelous? tIt's the year of the Pig.

txblondie 0 #86 July 21, 2003 If it's causing an issue with safety, then it's time to do something about it. Otherwise, if the girls are stupid enough to be seduced that easily, then so be it. I don't know what he says to "seduce" them, but you might want to go into the "women only" forum and print out the thread on "worst pick up lines" to show them. Perhaps as a warning. ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun!
Guest #87 July 21, 2003 QuoteI think its just that. The father syndrome. Young girls falling for older men because they give them the chance to make love with a male that resembles their father. "Who's yer daddy?" hehehe "The mouse does not know life until it is in the mouth of the cat."

happythoughts 0 #91 July 21, 2003 QuoteOtherwise, if the girls are stupid enough to be seduced that easily, then so be it. I agree with you. If an 18yo girl didn't understand the use of "No", she wouldn't have time to skydive. There used to be a comedienne named Michelle who told a joke - "I didn't mean to sleep with your brother... he tricked me..." It was funny because no one believes that a 20yo could be "tricked" into bed. Most people (men and women) like to go out and have a good time. This guy probably is a lot of fun and the girls are responding to that.
AggieDave 6 #92 July 21, 2003 People are overlooking the psychological side of how these relationships can start. You take a girl on a tandem, they took all the fear and anxiety they had, and its now transfered into gratefullness to the TM for being brought down safely. Those beginnings of feelings can be manipulated by an instructor to get in that student's pants. I don't see any good from that, only a serious lack of professionalism that not only makes the sport look bad, it gives ALL instructors a black eye! Quite honestly, I'm disgusted with this guy. Even my dick is saying "good for him, lucky bastard."--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
