PhillyKev 0 #1 July 22, 2003 I'm slouching in my chair, yawning uncontrollably, and about to pass out. Tried getting up and going for a walk, getting a drink and having a cigarette. Second I get back to my desk I'm ready to drop again.................

PhillyKev 0 #5 July 22, 2003 Actually...it's an Aeron. I think its more due to staying out and about too late. Man, being single and living alone in the center of a large metropolis really takes its toll. Broke and tired is my constant state of being.

Blahr 0 #7 July 22, 2003 Asa former denizen of that same concrete jungle, I can assure you that it will continue to take its toll until it eats your life essence. You may run into my brother down there. You will recognise him instantly by total lack of any spark of life in his eyes. Thats 25 years in Center City Philly. I only lived down there for 5 years and I barely escaped with my soul intact. God save me from cities, I need some woods and wildlife near me. Sad stunted little trees and pidgeons dont count... Rebecca 0 #8 July 22, 2003 Lawdy- I know how you feel. I was just in a three-hour meeting on financial reporting tools. After lunch, lights off, and a speaker with the softest, most soothing little voice. nod...nod...EYES OPEN!...nod...nod...zzzzzzzzzzz...sleep jerk!, 'Oh shiit- everyone just saw me snap awake.' Ugh. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk?
txblondie 0 #9 July 22, 2003 That sucks, and I feel your pain. I'll be pointing the mouse at something, ready to click, and my eyes will droop and my head will drop forward, and when I look up, I don't know what I've clicked on, but it's not what I wanted. There's only one cure for single life, and even that can keep you up late at night (or get you up early in the morning)! ***************************************** Blondes do have more fun! Yeah, lately I've been feeling like Travis Bickle (if you don't know who that is, rent Taxi Driver). But I did my 25 year sentence in the burbs, and I ain't going back. If I could make money living in the middle of nowhere, that would be fine. But since I have to be around people and society anyway, I'll take the city over the burbs any day.
