The ones who are always there when someone else is in need. They expect no thanks, no reward, no public fanfare. The everyday heroes. Like laurie, who has spent most of her non-work hours at the hospital and on her cell phone since Saturday, when her friend Eric was injured. She's kept us all up to date on how he's doing, and she's helped his family immensely by doing so. And this isn't the first time she's done this. When another friend was injured out of state a few months ago, she was there for him - and all his friends - even though it meant a trip to Arizona every weekend.
