AggieDave 6 #1 July 21, 2003 Yup, that's what I heard from the folks who were at Skyfest. She got her 20-way pink patch and hat, she was on other formations, making people look bad by flying her ass off. People were assuming she had 900 jumps, but she has 150-ish. Yup, she's kick ass! If she shows up to your DZ, don't jump with her, run away and hide in manifest...she'll fly her ass off and make you look bad with only a fraction of your jump numbers. --"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." AggieDave 6 #3 July 21, 2003 Now what we need is MFDammit to reply to this and confirm all of this, since he was there.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
bwilling 0 #4 July 21, 2003 I was there! And there was video to prove it... watching the completed pink patch dive with all the girls afterwards was fun, and their enthusiasm was contagious! I talked to QTPi, she's a sweetheart (and her username is correct, she's damn cute)! We talked about what a huge postwhore aggiedave is! AggieDave 6 #6 July 21, 2003 You know, there is something to be said about going through Skydive U. That's what she did! Not only did she go through it, her SDU coach is MFDammit, who has well under 300 jumps (although he's been to 2 airspeed tunnel camps, went through SDU and got his SDU rating at about 200 jumps). He's another example of people who are willing to put the work in to get VERY good, even at low(er) jump numbers. I need to try to talk him into writing an article on how he got to where he is (he told quite literally to go try another sport out after his 4th AFF jump by his instructors, he was doing so poorly). It would be a good piece and very inspirational to a lot of people!--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." nightjumps 1 #11 July 22, 2003 I was there too. Met Mark. He and I did a Texas Two-Ton 20 way (it wasn't pretty - at all), then did a beautiful 8-way to get an SCR candidate his award on a dive with Bill Newell - hisself. Please tell Mark that Perry is having pictures made of the dive, sending them to Bill Newell for signature and will let us know when he's got them. mfdammit 0 #13 July 22, 2003 Yup she is KICK ASS,not just as a skydiver but as a person. She handled herself at Skyfest with poise and grace. When asked by some of the best female skydivers in the United States to do a twenty-way she said okay. Then they nailed it.This was not only talent it was sheer willpower.A lot of skydivers would have wet their pants with good reason. That is a hell of a lot of pressure. But not QTPi she continued to kill it all weekend.By the way she was on that eight-way SCS with BILL Nuell to."She nailed that also".Congratulations,QTPi this was your weekend and you earned it all!. QTPi 0 #20 July 24, 2003 AWWW! Thanks Dave! Mark told me about this thread but my puter's been down all week! You guys are sweet! It was an awesome weekend! I had an absolute blast. It was humbling and intimidating jumping with the caliber jumpers that were at Skyfest. But man did I learn a lot!
