rgoper 0 #1 July 24, 2003 i had my reconstructive surgery done tuesday morning, it took about 2 1/2 hours. my doc tore my ass up for letting it go for so long, because "it shredded my cartlidge" under my kneecap. i'm not real sure what that was they gave me right before i went under in my IV line, but it was yummy! i've been slowly putting more and more weight on it, a little at a time, but still cannot walk without the aid of crutches. they've got me on Darvocet & Vicodin for pain relievers, reading the ingredients it's little more than acetamenaphine and tons of it, but it works on a 6 on a scale of 1-10. tomorrow i will be walking without crutches (if the pain continues to subside) then i'll get on the bench and see how many foot pounds i can stand, hopefully the rehab will be short. thanks for everybody who sent their vibes when i needed them. take care, be safe.--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"

CrazyIvan 0 #5 July 24, 2003 Get better soon. That ass part, a friend of mine had some reconstructive surgery years ago, they took some skin off his ass and place it on his face to cover some scars, he looks good, but everytime he gets tired, his face wants to sit down. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you. rgoper 0 #15 July 24, 2003 your probably not going to believe this, but there was some confusion before the operation. the nurse asked my wife "is it the left knee? my wife responded by saying "right" and they marked the right knee. i asked them why they did that, and they responded "to make sure we get the correct knee fixed, so we mark it before we go into OR" i told them "well, ya marked the wrong one" the nurse said "what do you mean?" i said "it's my left knee, not my right one" then she said "your wife told me it was the right knee, by this time i was getting PO, i said "erase the *ucking mark on the right knee and mark the left one!" she immediately complied, good thing i wasn't "under" yet, i would have been one PO MF! i've got the swelling under control alternating ice and a hotpack, and i am now able to put all of my weight on it and walk unassissted by crutches, tomorrow, leg raise machine to see how much i can lift with it.--Richard-- "We Will Not Be Shaken By Thugs, And Terroist"
robskydiv 0 #16 July 24, 2003 Peace bro. Get some rest and rehab as prescribed. That knee will come around and be strong again. Then, you'll be in the air again.
jtval 0 #17 July 24, 2003 DAMN! good thing you were there(awake) to correct them! Ive had the wrong wisdom teeth pulled! I totally lost my fukn mind! I was an E-3 chewing out an O-3. in the middle of the dentist office on base. it was pretty or very professional. but FUK HER! If I pulled the wrong thing out of a jet I would be crucified! They were only teeth and eventually MAY have had to come out but the fact that she totatlly botched the job and left me with my impacted morlas pissed me off. not to mention the 17 stitches I had inside my mouth and the 1.5 inch gash I had from my lips separating grrr! (theres some insight on why I do not trust doctors!) glad you got it taken care of "by the book" heal wellMy photos My Videos
