Why the marriage-phobia?

** Sarcasm Alert **

Do not get bent out of shape over that last remark. When you have your heart ripped out, stomped on, burned & thrown in the garbage disposal those are the sorts of things that just pop into one's mind.

Not all women are evil.

Just most of them....

I can see how men could feel that way, because there have been a lot of women that I haven't gotten along with over the years. A lot of women like to play games with men and their feelings, and that's just as cruel as the men who do it to women.
The most important thing is to be honest and for both of you to know how the other feels and thinks about you...

And I'm sure there are many "men are evil" women as well... cuz I know a few that have been royally screwed over by their b/f husbands.

So... if i understand you corrctly, there were periods of time when you or Corrinne would have left had it been easier? But, currently, you are happy with being married?

You gotta be kidding. The people who've gotten divorced usually want to validate their choice by increasing their ranks. Having difficulties? "Get divorced and be like me!" When I was looking for encouragement, I had plenty of people telling me how to get out and save my retirement, and keep my house and what lawyer to use, but only ONE MAN who told me to stick it out. He was right.

You bet we'da both probably walked away at some point if it was no-harm, no-foul. There are always times where the bend in the tunnel prevents you from seeing the light at the end. At those times when you lose hope. But the more of those you survive, the more you can retain hope when there's nothing to see to give you hope. When faith can sustain you.

Yeah, we're happy. Geez, Roy, you spent the weekend with us camping at the USA boogie. We've got projects, both personal and relationship-wise that we've got to work on, but yeah, I'm happy with being married.

If I could get you to stop trying to put that Ronco spray-paint on my head, I'd have it all.

:P

Zennie,

It is a hypocresy that the world is ruled by men. We think that all the time. It never is. The evilness of men, pales and dwindles in front of evilness of a woman. Woman are capable of planing in very gruesome detail they way they want their guys to live their life, and have a back up plan when Sanctorum hits the fan.

Even with their friends, they play mind games, pretend they care, and ZAP, something about competition and it's all over my best friend........I've seen it many, many times......

We are dumb regardless of our planing, and usually like the dog wailing its tail, to its master. Oh yea, when meeting a woman, we are usually the party that needs to put the effort in picking some signals, and yet most of the time we don't get them. We are honest, blunt, to the point....

In the US you hear about child abuse, women shelters, but yet to this date there is nothing as trying in someway protray that men can be victims. Don't you think this is strange by itself? Check Massachusetts legal web sites, and you will be surprised of what we have to go through here. The tide has turned a long ago, and yet the feminist movement is always attacking men, as if we all are animals.

For God's sake, I don't know a single woman that does not change her mind 100 times in a minute when PMS comes, and yet it will always be our fault.......Don't get me wrong, Men Love women, the difference is we are hunting, you are making us believe you are the prey, you actually set the trap......

Just my 2 cts.

Honestly, my intention wasn't to turn this into a mysogynist thread. It was just one of those things I throw out because I'm still bitter, hurt & pissed (and I'll be the first to admit that I'm all of these).

To be serious for a moment, the problem really isn't men or women, it's people in general. Far too many people are selfish, unethical, disloyal and opportunistic.

And for some stupid reason I always seem to wind up with these types of people. [:/]

Hey maybe we should create a club "the mysogynist fliers", and do a meet for that.....I agree with you, but sometimes I get pissed when people blames it on us 100%.

Yep, lets face it.....B|B|B|B|

Joe: I love you Jane...with all my heart
Jane: I love you too
Joe: LET'S GET MARRIED!!!
Jane: OK!!!
Joe: Excellent, call your lawyer to get the PRE-NUP ready
Jane: you got it.

Bwwaaaaahaha

The only pre-nup I could see is that no matter what - if she tries to get me to stop skydiving - she has to pay me "jump alimony" for the rest of my life.
I'm not usually into the whole 3-way thing, but you got me a little excited with that. - Skymama

Funny - everyone of my jumper friends is wondering why I'm marrying a non-jumper.

Well - thats easy.

One, she doesn't jump, saves me money!

Two, she's cooler than all get out.

Only four weeks to the plunge (literally, I'm jumping into my wedding)...

I wanted to get married, long time ago, but, not anymore, nowadays marriage is more like a business, money is the main concern, not feelings, to me is totally riculous scenes like this:

Joe: I love you Jane...with all my heart
Jane: I love you too
Joe: LET'S GET MARRIED!!!
Jane: OK!!!
Joe: Excellent, call your lawyer to get the PRE-NUP ready
Jane: you got it.

Call me old fashion, but, where is the TRUST and real love?. sorry, I don't believe anymore, besides, you don't need to get married to be happy.

Yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes, yes.....my point exactly. We finally realize what makes a guy attractive...money. Like a friend of mine once said, "money makes you look better". Try getting married without it...it aint gonna happen. Sooo much trouble, just to excersize a body function in a 'decent' way.

So thats right...fuck it!!! Besides, youre already married...youre a skydiver.;)

My wife is wonderful. We started our family after being married for 8 years. I started skydiving after we had been married for 14 years. Our next anniversairy is our 19th! I just think that too many people get married without really knowing their partner well enough, and too many people don't give enough serious consideration to the committment you make to each other when you get married.
