Steel 0 #53 July 25, 2003 So far this week I benched 225lbs for reps (8) (not near what I used to do, but I'm getting there), rowed 360lbs for reps (8) and shrugged 450lbs for reps (8). So I'm feeling good, looking better, and getting motivated by seeing large amounts of weights being moved (with good form and proper reps). --------------------------------------------- Well at the rate your going you will be passing me soon. I did 225 for 8, on my bench for my 4th set, a couple of days ago. That is down from 225 for 16 four weeks agor just before I landed on my hand and gave it an unpleasant feeling. A month ago I was doing dumbell curls with 65 pound dumbells for sets of 10. Now its funny that I can curl more than 35's. Any exercise involving the use of the right hand is the same story. I have lost so much motivation with this that I haven't been doing my leg exercises properly either. Oh well that life. If and when my hand gets back to normal and I accomplish my goal of 225 for 20, I will let you know.If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
AggieDave 6 #54 July 26, 2003 I used to do a decent amount more then 225 for reps on bench. I used to do around 280 for reps...and the way my strength is growing, I don't see that being a problem in a few weeks. I missed lifting weights, why oh why did I leave it for so long.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
Steel 0 #55 July 26, 2003 My best in terms of reps for heavy weight was 275 for 7. I would like to get 275 for ten but I think if I work for 225 for 20 first it will keep a different tone. (keep the weight down. Or maybe it was just that when I did 275 for 7 week after week I was starting to get frustrated not being able to get 8 so I decided to try something new. Who knows? If I could make a wish, I think I'd pass. Can't think of anything I need No cigarettes, no sleep, no light, no sound. Nothing to eat, no books to read.
