Athlete of the Year?

Recommended Posts

I have been told that to ride the Tour de France is one of the single most grueling kick your ass unbeliavable things that a humans can do. It has to be Lance Armstrong for taking a Eurpean dominated sport and dominating it himself for three years, overcoming cancer, and whatever else. Dude's just plain bad ass. Even if he wears spandex...:P

How does Tiger Woods qualify as an Athlete? He plays golf...

Hey, hey, hey, golf absolutely is a sport. It takes skill and concentration. And I happen to love playing golf.

Now, what I have to ask is; how does race car driving count as a sport? Can't any old weight challenged person do it?

Seb,

I totally agree with you about Lance Armstrong. I had the pleasure of meeting and talking with him after he won his first Tour de France. He is an extremely inspiring person. And you're right, that is an enormously grueling race...and the dude won it 4 years in a row!!!

So does Chess, but it's not a sport...it's a game like GOLF! :P

Racing also takes great skill, concentration, endurance and teamwork.

Can anybody do it, I think it is possible for anyone to do anything they put their mind to...and that includes becoming a master at the game of golf. ;)
So I try and I scream and I beg and I sigh
Just to prove I'm alive, and it's alright
'Cause tonight there's a way I'll make light of my treacherous life
Make light!
