Although I'm having probably the worst week of my life at the moment, I must admit that logging on to the WFFC site makes me feel like a little kid the night before Christmas.
Since I have been banned from driving (not to mention given a full body cavity search to ensure my Cypress was on yesterday) I get to take a 9 hour DC-3 flight into the convention. That's right, the very same DC-3 some people will pay EXTRA to jump out of will be my mode of transport.
What the hell do you do for 9 hours on a DC-3?

Jess

1.Sleep(Yeah Right)
2.Drink till you pass out(Don't want to do that around other skydivers)
3.Read A Book(look at number 1;))
4.Tickle the Pilot till he rolls the DC-3(Tht would be awsome)
That's all I can think of....Come on people think of something!!!!;)

Since most DC3's were built in the 1930's, I think you should dress up in stockings with seams, a nice 1930's type of dress, a little mink (with head and feet, of course), a smashing hat, and travel in style. Make sure you have a little travel case (you know -- the box with a handle on top), and bring a porter along to carry your bags.

Well, either that, or take some sleeping pills, put in some ear plugs, put on some eye shades, and get some sleep... Either that or play Twister.

Have a good trip, Jess. It's been an awful week, you're right, so just aim for a good trip.

There is nothing more dangerous than breaking a basic safety rule and getting away with it. It removes fear of the consequences and builds false confidence. (tbrown)

Nah, that was a normal gear check. From 8 different people. ;) But it did make you smile in the end....

Driving was not an option....glad to hear you've confirmed flying. I'd suggest a book or two, and a nap. For several hours...

hugs, girl....

I'm glad to hear you're still going, Jessica, and I'm sure Rob would have wanted you to. Let yourself have fun, and if it gets hard, I'm sure there will be plenty of open arms from dz.commers to give you a hug. :)

bring some chalk so you can make a hopscotch thingy and play hopscotch w/ the others... it could be strip hopscotch or loser-buys-drinks-hopscotch or winner-flies-the-DC-3- hopscotch... the possibilities are endless. Definately do hopscotch in turbulence. That would rock!:)
