AggieDave 6 #1 August 1, 2003 I saw a non-metal/fake diamond plate sheet metal in a ricer magazine a year or two ago. Anyways, I could really use it on a project I'm working on right now, but I can't remember what it is called/who makes it and I can't find it via Google. Anyone know what I'm talking about? The application it was used in the mag was a cheap solution for cut diamond plate for floorboard/mats. It comes in rolls and is easly cut with shears. Thanks.--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline."
nacmacfeegle 0 #2 August 1, 2003 Hey Dave, try this... http://www.autopure.com/chequer1.htm Okay the company is based in Taiwan, but I'm sure you can find similar locally if you use some of their product descriptions and a little google.... Or google for "checker mat", or its European spelled cousin "chequer mat". The real stuff is called checker (or chequer) plate over here, occasionally its also known as Durbar plate, Durbar being its original manufacturer. Hope this helps, Cy'all Dave-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.
