Of course, it being the hottest year recorded in TX, we should both be a little less complaintive about the heat now because we've survived the worst!;)

Hey Dave, was it last year that we had 38 days in a row w/out rain and over 100?

or am I confused?

Yes, yes, we did BUT the summer of 1980 still holds more record highs than any other year to date...

Texoma is a nice lake actually. Just don't swim near the dam, I've heard all sorts of stories about Catfish that get as big as small cars down near the intakes...:P

The story I heard was that they used small cars for bait when catfishing near the intakes..

You all talking about the weather in the heat belt just wait until you hear about those in the frost belt states getting $600 natural gas bills this winter just to heat a double-wide. Might put a miserable bit of heat & humidity in a little different light. :)

Starred that Rockford guy. You must have been the little kid....

Yup, I was a little kid. I just happen to have a good memory when it comes to movies for some reason. B|

Which is worse, 100f and 65% humidity or this

That's not too bad, we have that every afternoon between 3-5:00 in FL! At least your temps are still in the 80's.

Yeah but in Florida you (typically) have the time before 3 and after 5. In NY it's usually cloudy/overcast/rainy all day. If I'm luck I'll get a Hop n' pop from 2500... I guess I could always just work and try to earn more money for when it's nice again. Either that or fly down to Florida for the weekend and get some tunnel time :P

Yeah, my upstairs indoor/outdoor thermometer said it was 122 outside at 5PM this afternoon in Carrollton, TX.

Which would definitely register as f***ing hot! Damn, that sucks! I don't have a thermometer where I'm at, but I would say it wouldn't have read above 110.
