lawrocket 3 #1 July 31, 2003 I saw B.B. King last night for the second time. I saw him last year at the Hollywood Bowl and was disappointed. Thinking he may have had an off night, I saw him again last night. He was great! I told my girlfriend that I hope I can be half that cool when I am 77 years old. She told me I am not 10 percent that cool right now. How right she is. p.s. Jeff Beck also played. A great display of guitar techniques, but the songs sucked. Well, the song. They all sounded the same And I always loved him... My wife is hotter than your wife.

TEB6363 0 #3 July 31, 2003 Hey Jerry, I was watching the news last night and the concert looked packed. Of course, with Blues, Beer, and Bar-B-Q, you almost can't go wrong. I just hope it wasn't too hot for you. I'm over here in Clovis and stayed inside for the rest of the night after mowing the lawn. It was just too damn hot for me. I'll be at MPC this Saturday, Come on out and say hello. Blue Skies, Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!! lawrocket 3 #4 July 31, 2003 Actually, the concert wasn't packed. Only the "600 Club" and the floor seating section had a bunch of people. The stadium was only about 1/3 full. And the heat wasn't that bad. Not like recently. What can you tell me about Madera? I'm still on student status from Elsinore. I don't think I'll be jumping for at least another two or three months until I can get my finances in order from the move. Maybe I'll try to swing by to check it out. I like it up here! My wife is hotter than your wife.
TEB6363 0 #5 July 31, 2003 Madera is a pretty cool little C-182 drop zone.. It is at the Madera Municipal Airport. North on 99, west on Avenue 17, turn left (south) toward the Highway Patrol office and the large warehouses. At the airport, turn left (now going east) in front of the office and the MPC is in the 2nd to last hangar. Once the plane takes off, you're gonna have to land - Might as well jump out!! sunnydee123 0 #6 August 1, 2003 BB does rock and if you like Jazz...you have GOT to check out a guy named Keb'Mo (I have "Slow Down" and it is just great music)...but I'm not against throwing in some Prodigy or Lincoln Park either . Dreams become reality, one choice at a time...
nacmacfeegle 0 #7 August 1, 2003 "BB does rock and if you like Jazz..." And if you like BB, check out Buddy Guy, his last two albums were stonkin'....'Damn right I've got the Blues' and 'Feels like rain'. Very reminiscent of the master.-------------------- He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me. I've seen Keb Mo three times and he's better with each concert. First time was on a BB King Blues Festival in Dallas, second he opened for Bonnie Raitt and two weeks ago saw him Jackson Browne and Steve Earle. I'll go see him anytime I can.The older I get the less I care who I piss off.
dkpbxman 0 #9 August 1, 2003 Used to make it a point to see B.B. every year in Central Park (NYC) when he did his annual show for the "Dr. Pepper" concerts.
sunnydee123 0 #10 August 1, 2003 WOW...cool for you.....I was turned on to his music last year and would LOVE to see him in concert. HE is GREAT boat music, when I ever have time to go on a boat since all my free time is in the air these days ...If you know when and where he will be anytime soon....drop me a PM.... lawrocket 3 #11 August 1, 2003 Keb Mo is in a league all his own. THat's why he's my favorite, too. Acoustic country folk rock delta blues is the best way to describe him. I've played with a couple of guys who played with him, and they say that he is simply the nicest guy in the world. Listen to his songs and you know he's got a wonderful spirit and attitude. Come on down to Long Beach on Labor Day Weekend. Kevin's playing the Blues Fest, along with Ray Charles, Joe Cocker, Billy Preston and others. My wife is hotter than your wife.
