pilotdave 0 #4 August 1, 2003 Did they just block that site, or all ftp servers? If it's just that site, well, sucks. But I feel special. Contributing to work not getting done. WOOHOO! But hang on. I might be able to set up a different domain name, just for you. Till they block that one too. Hang on. Dave
CrazyIvan 0 #5 August 1, 2003 They could also CLOSE port 21 (FTP) so, it doesn't matter, it won't work.__________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
pilotdave 0 #6 August 1, 2003 Ok, tomorrow try this one out: ftp://videos.umdskydiving.com. It won't work right away because the DNS server needs some time to update. It currently points to the old server. Dave

Dave Looks cool in deed.... for the realy lazy ass people like me, can I make a suggestion: can a search option be added? I know my lazy-ass FTP option doesnt allow it either (just using explorer as opposed to an actual ftp client) but that would be a nice add on..... down the line when there is time..,Remster
airann 1 #13 August 1, 2003 Actually, that would take some secret coding I guess. He is always over there type type typing. He is making a deal where you click on the movie name or something. I will yell over there and about this search thing. It might be easy or hard to do. I just read web stuff writings not actually write them. ~AirAnn~

skymick 0 #17 August 2, 2003 Try using a program like HTTP Tunnel (www.http-tunnel.com), it works by bypassing the traffic to the FTP to another server, which then contacts the FTP site for you, it will be a bit slower due to the extra routing invlolved but it wont be much, all you have to do is point the program to the proxy server at your work then use a FTP client, tell it you are using a proxy and point it at 127.0.0.1 port 1080 and all should be good
