mirage62 0 #1 August 4, 2003 Okay I'm new here but I followed the thread about abortion and made one post. In the end it did seem to be two people beating up on each other. But - and forgive me - but why do we have this seperate place for "women"? (I read the "why" I just don't get it) And if it is really suppose to be just for women (which I have no trouble with) why are men allowed to post at all? The main problem with a men's only forum w/b that all the men would never leave the womens forum to go thereKevin Keenan is my hero, a double FUP, he does so much with so little
CrazyIvan 0 #2 August 4, 2003 Men are allowed to post in the Women's forum because if we didn't post, that forum would be VERY BORING. __________________________________________ Blue Skies and May the Force be with you.
Rebecca 0 #3 August 4, 2003 As I recall, there has already been a lengthy, tedious, repetitive, redundant thread on this matter. Lemme look... Ack. Couldn't find any threads like that, but it HAS been covered. you've got to ask yourself one question: 'Do I feel loquacious?' -- well do you, punk? beavdog 0 #4 August 4, 2003 I think that almost anything that men talk (beer, sex, ect.) about can be covered quite easily in the Talk Back forum. Here's to the Breezes that blows through the Trezzez.....
AggieDave 6 #5 August 4, 2003 Yup, that was the point for the women's forum. This is a "guy" sport, when you really look at it, its dominatedly men in the sport...So, the women in our sport (which are really cool!) really do have certain issues, etc that pertain only to them. That was the reason (if I remember correctly) for HH creating the women's forum. If you do a search you'll probably find 3 or 4 VERY lengthy threads on this subject. Check the suggestions forum and talk back (I'm too lazy to look them up, but I know that they're there).--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." skymama 37 #6 August 4, 2003 The men control every forum on this entire site, that's why the Women's Forum was created in the first place. And, lately they've been too vocal in the Women's Forum too. I'm not going to tell you guys to never post in the Women's Forum again, but I would like to ask you to stay in the background and to let the women have their voices over there. I also want to remind you guys that there are to be no one-liner jokes by you in the Women's Forum at all.She is Da Man, and you better not mess with Da Man, because she will lay some keepdown on you faster than, well, really fast. ~Billvon
AggieDave 6 #7 August 4, 2003 *singing* "Stand by your woman..." Actually, I think the women's forum is a great idea, and I do agree, we've (the guys) have been posting too much over there. Oh, and by the way...you're wrong! A women controls the CReW forum...--"When I die, may I be surrounded by scattered chrome and burning gasoline." Zenister 0 #8 August 4, 2003 i dont think we need a "Men's forum" but i wouldnt mind another place where we could post less 'popular' topics that people are still interested in.. the problem with Talk back is if your subject isnt very 'mainstream' or of interest to everyone it is quickly lost in the flood, before the others who might also be interested in it ever get a chance to read it.. i dont know about everyone, but if i've been away for a while i dont go back 10+ pages to catch up on every single thread, and so miss some otherwise interesting discussions, unless i'm fortunate enough to have someone 'bump' them.. of course we also dont need 30 forums for every subject, so i'm not sure if there is a better solution than the place we have now...it just means less popular topics dont live long...____________________________________ Those who fail to learn from the past are simply Doomed. skymama 37 #9 August 4, 2003 QuoteOh, and by the way...you're wrong! A women controls the CReW forum... Bwahaha...you got me on that one, Dave. But it's still men who mostly do the posting. That was my point, but you already knew that.
